Friday haiku: Haystacks

July 10, 2020 By Marit 11 Comments

Friday haiku

Ruiters op het land
alsof vervlogen tijden
hun weg terug vonden
Haystacks on the land
as if bygone times swiftly
found a way back home

The photos (the one that is on the ‘home’ page as well as this one) were taken by Lena Schreijenberg

I submit this haiku to Recuerda Mi Corazon where our lovely hostess Rebecca brings us all together to share a haiku on Friday: Haiku my Heart

Je t’embrasse

I like the retrospective nature of your haiku. We can’t always go back, but we can look back…with gratitude.

I love haystacks and the nostalgia they bring, as do your words to Lena’s photo my friend. And I love your Zeeland and the beauty of light and land that is like no other. XO

The haystacks make me remember my childhood with my grandmother in Lapland in Finland. Just talked about it with my old man a few days ago … Beautiful photo.
You have managed to create very nicely since last time.
Thank you for visiting my site earlier. That it was so many weeks since I was online … thought it was yesterday …
    Have a great summer day!

If haystacks can find their way home, then surely humans can too.
