Friday haiku & One Little Word

January 14, 2022 By Marit 7 Comments

Goodmorning lovely ones! The sky is bright and clear blue right now but over the last couple of days we couldn’t see much. It is that I can blindly find the way to my work otherwise I’d got lost in the dense fog that hung over the land for days 😉

Anyway, I like mist. I do. And I like the sound of the foghorn I can hear in the distance, guiding the ships safely through the fairway.

Friday haiku

Dichte mist. Windstil.
Het geluid van de misthoorn
draagt kilometers.
Heavy fog. Windless.
The sad sound of the foghorn
carries a long way.

Art Journaling – One Little Word

Last week I showed you the new Chronicles art journal that I bound and I mentioned the fact that I chose a word (One Little Word) to accompany me in 2022. Well, here it is:

EXPLORE is my word for 2022. As the journaling on the page says: it mainly has to do with my art. I want to explore more techniques/materials/possibilities and create outside my comfort zone. I might even try to work on a big canvas!

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day and everything that surrounds you (as far as you can see, and if you are in a haze, enjoy the foghorn!)

If it weren’t for the figurative foghorns in our lives, warning us of danger, how would we find our way?
