Friday haiku, Paleography & Chronicles art journal spreads

Hi there lovely ones, I’m back at blogging this week. I skipped last week’s blogpost ’cause I was so busy doing other things…

for one: I started a course “Paleography” last week (“Paleography is the study of ancient and historical handwriting – that is to say, of the forms and processes of writing; not the textual content of documents. ~ Wikipedia ~) and I had to make homework: transcribe this text from 1779. It’s a pretty long time ago that I had to make homework for a study and I like it! Now there’s another four pages of old text/handwriting waiting for me to transcribe this weekend – but today I gave myself the afternoon off to play in my atelier.

This morning I did some housekeeping and I wrote a haiku, so let’s start this blogpost with that one eh?!

Friday haiku

Laag winterlicht streelt de toppen van de duinen het helmgras huivert

The low, wintry light caresses the blond dune tops Marram grass shivers

I submit this haiku to Recuerda Mi Corazon where our lovely hostess Rebecca brings us all together to share a haiku on Friday: Haiku my Heart.

While taking this course I have even less time left to be in my atelier, but I managed to get some Chronicles pages done in former weeks.
