Friday haiku: reed stems

The photo below, taken by my friend @LenaSchreijenberg, reminded me of a small piece of art I once made… Here’s the photo and the haiku

in stompe hoeken
transformeren rietstengels
in hun schaduwbeeld
at obtuse angles
reed stems transform into their
shadow images

… and here is that little piece that I created on an index card.

This work is part of a stack of cards I created between March 2013 and August 2014 and stored in a special box. You can view that BOX OF LONGING on my website.

    I would think the index card was created as a response from the photo, but I guess that’s not the case if it’s from years ago. But I really like the three put together, the poem, the beautiful photo and the very cool index card!
