Friday haiku: wide and still

October 23, 2020 By Marit 7 Comments

Friday haiku

Het strand weids en stil
terwijl de mens zich druk maakt
het land weids en stil.
The beach wide and still
while mankind’s making a fuss
the land wide and still

The photo was taken by Lena Schreijenberg

I submit this haiku to Recuerda Mi Corazon where our lovely hostess Rebecca brings us all together to share a haiku on Friday: Haiku my Heart

Je t’embrasse

Maybe humans should take a cue from the beach and the land, and be still!

If only the violent part of humanity could take a lesson from the land.

i find myself growing more quiet with each passing month. it seems reflection, thoughtful living, compassion, and hope need careful cultivating. thank you for placing another needed log on the haiku fire. may we continue to lift each other up for all that lies ahead.
