Goodmorning lovelies. March is well on its way and look what happened last week… Wednesday morning our world suddenly turned white! The snow shower was short but powerful; in no time everything was covered with snow and within an hour or so all the snow had melted again… a last pinprick of winter?

I submit this haiku to Haiku my Heart
It sure looked lovely but I’m glad it’s gone now. However, it’s raining ever since and I am longing for spring weather… but – as a wise man said – “every disadvantage has its advantage”, I will spend my free days in my atelier and get some creating done. As I did over the past weeks. Let me show you the latest spreads I created in my art journal.
Chronicles 2023 – Week 6
Chronicles 2023 – Week 7
Chronicles 2023 – Week 8
Curious about that drawing on the last spread? That’s a tulip vase! After weeks of drooling, walking past that shop window, taking a detour every now and then to see if it was still there, I gave in and bought myself this vase!
The vase is new ‘Delft blue’ pottery but the design is from the 17th century. My beloved finds it a horrible piece but I like to put such a kitchy vase in our modern interior and when I put the vase with the tulips on the sideboard, he turned around a bit and actually thought it was funny indeed.
Thanks for your visit to my blog, it’s really appreciated! Enjoy your day/weekend and make it fun and colourfull. Go buy a vase. (Or tulips. Or both…)

Oh Marit!!!! This vase! I think it is absolutely incredible! And everything leading up to it! From the snow and daffodils in Lena’s photo, your haiku, getting to peek inside your journal pages (which I always love) and then to find this! You made my day with this beauty! Back to you haiku… sometimes… I think the world needs these blankets. Like I need a warm one, the Earth needs a cold one now and then. I too, look forward to more spring and gentle weather. Big hugs to you!

Our weather is so erratic that I would not be surprised if we got snow. But that’s how it is isn’t it? It’s good to be back here after my hiatus. Have a grand weekend and thank you!!
