Haiku: Jacob’s ladder

February 26, 2021 By Marit 3 Comments

Friday haiku

This haiku is for my friends Lena, Karin & Jan-Willem, who lost their mother last week.

Jacob’s ladder daalt
de hemel verwelkomt haar
ze klimt, tree voor tree
the sky welcomes her
a Jacob’s ladder she climbs
stairway to heaven

The photo is taken by Tanja van Eenennaam (a photographer from Zeeland)

I submit this haiku to Recuerda Mi Corazon where our lovely hostess Rebecca brings us all together to share a haiku on Friday: Haiku my Heart

Je t’embrasse

Dear Marit, your haiku with this glorious photo says so much and touches me deeply. My heart goes out to Lena and her family and all of those touched by this loss. May her climb be easy and welcoming, and full of beauty. A big hug to you my friend.

this is so stunning! somehow you have managed to capture transcendence of the human soul! that in itself is incredible. thank you also for this bright honoring of a life well lived. i am deeply touched to have been included in this soul journey.
