Haiku on Friday – Drift sand

January 11, 2019 By Marit 2 Comments

Photo made by my friend Lena Schreijenberg

Harde westenwind
Waar zand hout ontmoet ontstaat
een nieuw duinlandschap
Strong wind from the West
new dune landscape arises
where sand collides wood

I submit today’s haiku to Recuerda Mi Corazon where our lovely hostess Rebecca brings us all together to share haiku on this Friday event Haiku my Heart.

Oh, yes! Wind does amazing things with sand, shaping and reshaping it across the landscape.

Hello, my friend! I always attempt to first read your haiku in Dutch, to see if I can catch a flavor of your words through your native tongue, that I so wish I spoke! I love the shadow and light and folds of sand and wood. I want to jump upon these ancient pilings and step my way into the beyond, for your words transport me to another place and time…. big hug to you! Thank you for your friendship and the gift of connection through our haiku circle! XO
