Cold; snow and frost are forecast for this weekend and next week.
People in the Netherlands get all excited thinking about the chance to go ice skating in nature.
I am not that excited though,
I hate cold,
I hate iceskating.
I feel like the donkeys…
Friday haiku
Somber schuilen zij voor kou en sneeuw. Verlangend naar een lentewei. |
Gloomy they shelter from the snow, the cold. Longing for a spring meadow. |

I submit this haiku to Recuerda Mi Corazon where our lovely hostess Rebecca brings us all together to share a haiku on Friday: Haiku my Heart
Thanks for your visit,

Happy New Year, Marit. How sad. We are all sheltering from the cold that has gripped the world.

I think there is going to be quite a gathering in that stable, Marit! Now that sounds like fun. Hot cocoa, warm bodies sharing the heat, maybe some music? If I’m going to dream of spring meadows, then I say, let’s make this a party! Thank you to you and Lena for this Friday’s offering. A warm hug to you my friend.

I adore that donkey picture! And the cold? Best viewed from in front of the huge fireplace in the lodge with my feet up and hot tea in my cup, and watch those ice skaters through the window. Ha. ok. Not a lodge. Just my little window. And no fireplace. But…..um….sunshine! I live in Florida! 🙂 ok its a bit cold, but none of that white stuff. Stay warm.

I’m so glad they have a place to shelter! Every creature needs one. No one needs to be homeless.
