Good morning on this special day sweeties… special for the ones amongst you who plan to play along with my Top 2000 blog party and are desperately waiting for the Top 2000 list to be announced… I just checked the website of the radio-station and the complete list will be announced at 5.30 pm (CET) this afternoon… I will put the link in the side-menu on my blog and send a newsletter out about the party this week.
So, what’s on my desk this morning? Something colorful and fun for sure, but let me first show you the photo that I took yesterday…
While I was working in my Chronicles art journal – preparing a background for a new page – my beloved brought me the mail and there was an envelope from France… a while ago, Muriel from France won my Somerset magazine giveaway and she had emailed me already how happy she is with the magazine. Out of the blue, she sends me a package that contained such goodness… beautiful old postcards, dyed lace (she dyed it herself) and a bunch of altered playing cards. The colors of the playing cards fit the page I was working on so well… it looked like they were made for it! Thank you so much for this happy mail Muriel!
I used three playing cards on the page, so that’s what is on my work desk this morning: the art journal spread is coming along. (And you can see the postcards Muriel send in the window-sill.)
As the year is coming to its end, my Chronicles art journal is nearly full… I already bound me a new journal to use next year but will show you that later. Here’s the page for week 49
