No-hooo… don’t freak out now… the title of this post refers to my latest art journal spread and not to my own memories! I even built some more NICE ones ’cause I have good memories on the days I spend with some creative ladies last week (thanks for the good times Nel, Mathilde, Marie and Ina!)
My latest art journal spread (with the full title) can be viewed in this post but first let me show you what my desk looked like this morning. After all, it is What’s On Your Work desk, Wednesday**
(**WOYWW is a weekly event hosted by Julia from the UK. Artists from all over the world post a photo of their desk on their blog and leave a link at Julia’s blog. More info about woyww can be found here.)
I have ‘a thing’ for outsider art and last weekend I viewed a lot of outsider art on the internet… it had been a while since I did that and I got all inspired again. The sketches of the horse (and the blue one on the art journal spread) are clearly inspired by that!
And here’s my latest art journal spread – I had painted the basics of this spread weeks ago but got stuck after that… I finally got inspired to finish it. The title comes from the text (cut out of a magazine) that I glued on the page.
Some have horrible memories
Thanks for stopping by my blog today, and have a creative week!

I like the page. I think outsider art is interesting too. I guess I am a bit of a rebel..liking anything that is different from the ‘established’ way of doing things lol. That is probably why I love mixed media art. Shel/PaperOcotilloStudio #48

Love this journal spread, it’s so cool that out of nowhere I see houses in all that paint – love it Marit!

Even with a title like “horrible memories” your art journal pages are so good to see.
This would make a great painting on a canvas.
Hope you are having a nice weekend making some good memories my friend ♥
