… of a good title for my blogpost today.
Is it because I write this on Monday evening, while normally I type my posts
on Tuesday mornings? (I have an appointment on Tuesday, that’s why)
Am I that set in my habits? (and if that is the case, do you think I should
do something about it?)
Is it because the ‘article writing job’ started again while I was just used
to a new routine?
Oh, never mind. You can think of a title yourself and be grateful that
I post at all 😉
There is even some artwork published in this post!
If you visit my blog more often, you know I always have my
‘weekly art journal page’ showing up after the weekend (yep: habit!)
Here’s last week’s. (you can click on the images to enlarge)
The Chronicles of Marit 2011 – week 27
There’s a lot going on on this page. I came across a stack of images that
I cut out of magazines once, but never used. I thought it might be fun to
collage them all on the page, since nothing much happened last week
(that is: I didn’t need to leave much space to journal)
However… glueing
all the images on
the page was a bit
premature…
After I collaged
the background
(leaving just a little
bit of room for the
journaling) I got
a lovely card from
my aunt in the mail
and I desperately
wanted to include
that on the page too
– Aarghhh!
Fitting or not – I
taped it right on
to the page.
(See, I can break habits when it suits me!)
I had some spare time in between watching the Tour de France and
cooking diner and I used it to make another Index card. Just for fun.
I found a funny quote to go with the bugs but I used only part of it.
Here’s the complete quote:
“Two-legged creatures we are supposed to love as we love ourselves.
The four-legged, also, can come to seem pretty important.
But six legs are too many from the human standpoint.”
~ Joseph W. Krutch~
Today, ‘Artsee bloggers’ was launched!
Geri of My Heart Art started this blog that wants to be a virtual gallery
of blogging artists. It contains categories with links to blogs of all sorts
of artists and it is “a gathering place for the creatively inclined as well
as those who appreciate the artistic talents of others.” (Those are Geri’s
words, I couldn’t have said it better!)
Anyway, I recommend you click the logo and have a look for yourself.
And last but not least: I made something AWESOME last weekend!
(Can you tell I’m excited about it? Ha!)
There’s one problem though, taking photo’s won’t do ‘it’ much justice,
so I plan on a video to show ‘it’ to you. I will try and get my beloved
to help me with this video so I can show it to you by Friday.
(Yes, this is a teaser….)
Enjoy your week and see you then!
You might title this post “Six-legged love”! What a fantastic quote! and thanks for the link to Geri – I sent her an email so I am now linked. It looks like a great blog experience!
You are sooooooooooo funny!! I loveeeeeeeeee your blog title today! lol!! I loveeeeeee that pages…and AMEN to the bug one! I am ALL FOR THAT!! Ohhhhhh and on a serious note, have you or Jenneke heard from Jeanet lately??? I have emailed her and haven’t heard back.. just making sure she is ok… :):):):):):):):):):):):):)
I think posting on a schedule is better than willy nilly random posts like mine. It gives people something to look forward to each week. I am too random of a poster although I used to be quite consistent. I lost focus and ran out of things to write about, so for now…random it shall be. Looking forward to your video.
Zonnige groetjes – Irma
Great blog title. I don’t know that I’d be able to keep to a set schedule of blogging. I like random. Your art journal is pretty neat.
Liefs, Natalie
Awesome title for your post — honest and true!!! We all have our “I can’t think” moments, Marit!!! How cool that you ‘found’ room to add that card from your aunt. And I can’t wait to see what your surprise is!!! You’re being a tease!!!! Hugs, Terri xoxo
I THINK a blogpost title with THINK in it is very appropriate when you are writing the post a day earlier than usual because of an appointment the next day with someone named THINKie 😉 Shook up your routine, did I? 😉
Leuke weekspread! Ik vind de ansicht niet storend.
O, en zes pootjes is inderdaad teveel! 😉
I like the title just as it is… and I love your blog! Your collage/art journal style is amazing!
Marit, I’m really enjoying reading your blog. It’s so nice that we met on Artsee Bloggers (we’re right next to each other…like neighbors)
XXXJenneke
I love playing catch up with your blog Marit! You sound very restless though… Love those bugs and your chronicle pages are always bright and full! Thanks for the link to Geri-land – off to peek!
Have a lovely weekend! =)
your bbb title could be:
‘she’s such a talented tease’…but as you said the content speaks for itself…your artwork always delights…I can only imagine how great it would be to live next door to you or down the street…getting to meet and chat every day…but in real life that hardly happens anymore…everyone is so busy!
a girl can dream 😉
your bug card and quote = fab!
your lovely collage bits = you know I {heart} those!
fun fun fun stopping in for a visit
all ways!
