Good morning lovely ones, another Wednesday – and it came way too fast as I haven’t even visit the other deskers last week! I’ll do my best to make it up to you. (With ‘deskers’ I mean the tribe that gathers at Julia’s blog, all leaving a link to their blogs and artist work desks. Click on the link to go to Julia at Stamping Ground and find out about it – you may even want to join?)
I remembered to take a photo of my workdesk yesterday afternoon, while I was in the midst of creating and who knew: I have an “exploding box” just like Angela (Felix the Crafty Cat.) That box is filled with little pieces of paper and as long as the lid fits – more or less – on the box, I don’t feel called to clean it out. Here’s the finished spread:
I Dream About Color
I like how this spread ‘grew’ and came together – there are days when I feel like wading through mud, trying to find the right pieces of paper, the right colors, the right materials to express what I feel… and then there are times like yesterday afternoon when I get into some kind of flow and the paper and I seem to communicate – having a dialoge. I add a piece, the spread speaks and says ‘yes’ or ‘no’ and I don’t even have to think, you know what I mean? Even the title dropped on my desk just like that. You know how I love texts/words on my pages, so when the spread was nearly finished I grabbed the folder in which I keep random cut-out sentences and words. I didn’t even have to look through the clippings: I opened the folder and this phrase came rolling out just like that. Perfect!
And now it’s time to hit the ‘publish’ button, pour me another cup of coffee and start visiting the other deskers from around the world – have a lovely day and I see ya in a minute!
Oh yes, I understand completely what you mean – sometimes my sewing projects just fly together smoothly and with others, everything goes wrong and I have to unpick and start again. Universe karma or playing a joke? I don’t know but it happens to us all I think!
I wish you could have come to the craft session too, it was fun!

I love your idea of “if the lid fits on it is not overloaded” – a bit like when someone calls unexpectedly and you push everything that is lying around into a cupboard. Now don’t tell me I am the only one who does that? Surely.
Love your art journal. You say the spread just fell into place, well it fell into the right place all the way through – the colours are gorgeous. I love the splash of orange down the right side of the figure that echoes the top right corner. You really have captured everything perfect here.
If you are off to Nijerk, say “hello” to the place from me. Hopefully I will be there again next year, got real upset feelings inside me because we are not going. This bad back has a lot to answer for!
Enjy yourself and spend up!
Hugs, Neet 3 xx
Gorgeous page, Marit, and a lovely busy, creative desk. Thank you for your visit. I’ve now uploaded my first WordPress post here: https://shoshiplatypus.com where you can see my WOYWW post with photos.

Hi Marit, it is marvellous when a project just comes together so effortlessly. Love the finished piece. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 X
I think we all have days like that. Sometimes its as if I have a guiding hand aiding my sewing, other days I can’t find the right piece of fabric anywhere [and if you saw my stash of fabric you would doubt that]. Our Grandmother was an amazing sewing lady and both my sister and I feel she guides our hands at times…it’s very special.
have a great week.
Hugs,

Great Marit, you are so imaginative. Maybe I should just put my hand into my box and use what comes out. I keep lots of waste bits and magazine cuttings always with the intentions of going back to my junk journal but other things just keep distracting me….Oh well some day! Happy woyww, Angela x16x
Hi Marit. I’m with you – so long as the pieces don’t quite spill all over the floor… then it’s OK – I don’t need to sort it out. Whatever “it” may happen to be!!
Take care. God bless.

Looks like we have the cheese cloth and postage stamps in common this week! Loving your page and your workspace always looks so inviting!
Interesting and fun page! Quite a bit out of my box but I find it fascinating! Love your desk and the full box. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

You have such lovely ideas when you make your pages. It’s nice when everything goes to plan but I always think we learn so much from our mistakes so I never worry when things don’t go quite right. Frustrating all the same! xx Jo
I do love your spreads Marit. I channeled you when I was finishing the journal page that’s on my desk. If you do get chance to pop back tomorrow you will immediately see how. I can no longer throw out magazines without trawling through them first lol. Happy WOYWW and thanks for your visit. Sarah #4
oh,that’s a great page! I might try and throw something else on my page tonight, if I can be bothered! Have a great week. helen #2
So pleased you can see my photos OK on the new blog, Marit. Thanks for visiting to let me know! I had to laugh at the idea of your other half doing all the techie stuff on your blog – the very thought of my hubby doing anything like that is quite beyond even my wildest imaginings!!! He has his laptop but is clueless about anything… I’m the techie one in this family!

It’s a very rewarding day when our thoughts just roll onto those pages helped by words, pictures and doodles. Marit if you only have one box of those bits you are a very very resourceful girl. If you every need anymore you are always welcome to rummage through my boxes, bags and cupboards all ready to burst :))
Happy WoywW Hugs Tracey (5)
P.S (((Thank you))) x
Hi. Thanks for popping by. So sorry to be so late. For some reason( my own stupidity ) I seem to not complete the post then lose it! This is my third attempt!
Your work is quite unlike mine, good we are all so different. I admire yours – very creative. I think mine sometimes quite childlike. Still I enjoy it.
Yes some days it all comes together, others very frustrating and nothing works out. Anne X 14
I love your journal page – your process is a lot like mine! That box – I just want to get into it and discover all the awesome little snippets of things! Wouldn’t it be fun to exchange exploding boxes! Back when postage was cheap it would have been a viable thing to do! Thanks for sharing, have a great week! Lindart #29
Hi there Maarit
I’m not sure why but I can’t see any of your photos, first time ever.
I tried Chrome as well as safari but neither uploaded images.
Sigh .. hate how things vamoose like that.
Makes commenting difficult but I do know what you mean about some works just flowing and leading you. As a Christian I pray for wisdom too when I’m stuck, which happens a lot.
Happy belated WOYWW.
