It’s been a couple of weeks since I blogged. “Life got in the way” is the expression but in my case it is I LET Life get in the way. I enjoy the new home, I enjoy the sunshine on my balcony, I enjoy reading a book and I enjoy walking through town with my beloved, visiting the various festivals that the season brings in Middelburg (last week VOLkoren, a “Choir-festival” with 186 various choirs singing on squares, in parks and in churches.)
But every now and then I spend an hour or so in my atelier, working on an object for an exhibition in August (more about that in a future blogpost) or creating a page in my art journal. Given the fact that I don’t spend much time in my creative space, I’m surprised myself that I got some spreads in my “Chronicles” art journal done.

Yes – ‘girls from Zeeland’ in the traditional costume on the week 19 spread. Yes – a walk along the seaside in week 20 and yes – a fabulous natural phenomena: heavy thunderstorms with lightning all over town in week 21.
Life is good.
