Finally… after a cold, freezing Winter with a lot of snow it is here: Spring!!!

The sun is shining, I see crocuses, hyacinths and daffodils everywhere around
and my laundry is hanging outside in the breeze. That means clean and fresh
smelling sheets on my bed tonight – yum!

I’m still working on ‘list pages’ and the Monday-prompt was very fitting:

List #21 – Things to do this Spring

(And here’s your answer to the question – “what book is waiting for you?” – Thinkie!)

I have a lot more for you today so grab a cup of coffee, (ice)tea or – who knows
– a bowl of ice cream (see I get sunshine on my mind!), relax and enjoy!

First of all – my last week’s journal page

Week 11

In the plastic pocket is the postcard Rosie send me together with the wristies
(see former post)

When you flip the pocket, the journaling underneath becomes visible.
On this side of the pocket, I put a ‘card’ where I journaled about the
earthquake, tsunami and nuclear problems in Japan.
My ‘Chronicles’ mostly has personal journaling, but there are times
that the world-news is so big that I just HAVE to include it in my book.

Lists – lists – lists – lists…
and more lists!!!

Here are just a few:

List #13 – DIY* I want to try

(For the Dutchies: I did not know what this meant either, so I checked.
It means “Do It Yourself”.)

edit: I only now see, I made a mistake… couldn’t read my own handwriting
anymore I guess… it should say DIY and I wrote DYS…. ah well, I’m human. )

I had a bit of a problem to come up with a list for this page.
I learned a lot of creative techniques when I was in Art School.
I work a lot with my art journals lately – and I use a lot of techniques
from back then. I could not think of anything else that I’m willing to
‘learn’ or try right now… Instead, I put some things on the list that
I once learned (mono-print, batik) and would love to try again someday.
I also made ‘linoleum carvings/prints in the Eighties – carving my own
stamps would be just like that I guess. I’d love to start with it but my-oh-my
I will need the tools to do that and I already have so much stuff…

Painting words on the wall is an old dream of mine.
I just never came to it.
I might – one day!

List #15 – Shopping List

This one’s from last week.
And yes – I’ve been to the art store.
And yes, I bought more then was on my list… what’s new… ๐Ÿ˜‰

And here’s a ‘big’ page (9.8 x 13.8 inch – 25 x 35 cm) in my art journal.

This pageย  has been on Songs in my heART for three days now, but nobody
saw it (at least nobody commented on it)
It’s a pity that Penny’s ‘Songs in my heART’ blog don’t get much traffic…
Her intention of a blog where everyone can send work with a ‘musical theme’
is so neat! I love the idea of a ‘community’ of people with interest in music and
art, who comment on each other’s projects… but there are more people needed
to get Penny started. From now on, she will be posting work on Tuesdays
and Fridays, and new work is needed!!! Layouts, cards, ATC’s, art journal
pages – as long as it has (some kind of) music as an inspirations, it is welcome!
Hop over there, check it out and send your work to Penny!

Here’s my latest page

Foxy Lady – Jimi Hendrix

My computer just started to make strange noises!
It does that since Thursday, and although I know it won’t blow up
(the ventilator is old and needs to be replaced, which will happen
tomorrow) it sure sounds scary…ย  I turn on the computer in the
morning to check the mail and some community sites, and then
turn it off again. I do this several times every day – visiting blogs
until the noises start… and turn it off again…

I’m sorry that I’m not around much.
I will make it all up to you later this week!

I still remember the lovely, fresh smell of sheets that dried in the sunshine. ((sigh!)) Such a pretty scent! And I LOVE the way you’ve added your plastic pocket, Marit. What a brilliant idea! Hugs, Terri xoxo

I, likewise, have been missing in action. I don’t know where have been except to say, I am glad report cards are over (essentially – not due to students until Wednesday.)

DIY: I am ripping out my own carpet little by little so I don’t have to pay the carpet people for removal and carting away and moving of furniture.

Ahhh, Jake & Gavin, I miss you ๐Ÿ˜‰ O, en soms voelde ik me goed genoeg om te lezen, volgens mij heb ik me in diezelfde periode vermaakt met Marion Zimmer Bradley (nou ja, haar boeken dan ๐Ÿ˜‰ ).
