The New Year is a couple of days on the go and I have some last spreads from my old Chronicles journal to show you.
Chronicles 2024 – Week 47
A fairly simple ‘silent’ week and therefore a ‘silent’ spread… I guess this speaks for itself.
The small pocket contains a private message.
Chronicles 2024 – Week 48
After the ‘silent week’ week 48 was suddenly chock full of all sorts of things… when I had some time for myself again I slapped some related pictures on the spread and wrote the text in between. The soothing perfume bottles were more of a wish, because I wasn’t granted much rest that week.
Chronicles 2024 – Week 49
Because of the Top 2000 blogparty event I lagged behind with creating Chronicles spreads, so this is (except for painting of the head) a quick spread… a gelliprint background and text written with diluted paint that I put in a bottle with a very thin spout… I like the effect.
Chronicles 2024 – Week 50
Acrylic background, pictures from magazine and text with marker.
Chronicles 2024 – Week 51
Catching up with yet another simple, quick spread.
Chronicles 2024 – Week 52
On this last spread of the year you see a gelli print and a picture of the bikerider/cyclocrosser Matthieu van der Poel. I follow road cycling in the summer and cyclocross in the winter. The ‘letter’ in the bag is a printed column about Cyclocross written by Thijs Zonneveld. I laughed so much reading it that I just had to keep it! Curious? You can still read it here (it’s in Dutch)
Chronicles 2024 – last page
I didn’t put too much work in that last page in my Chronicles book. Printed out the photo (which was originally in color, but I found that one not worth printing… however, it’s okay in black and white) and pasted it on the page. The year, and this journal, is closed now. On to the next one.
Chronicles 2025
… and that next Chronicles journal is in the making. I have some more work to do to finish it but hey, I still have two weeks of vacation left so I can take all the time for it.
I hope your year started nice and colourfull! Thanx for stopping by my blog,
je t’embrasse!
