Hi there sweeties! I’m pretty late with my post today, I’ll explain why in a minute but first I am going to blatantly promote this workshop that I teach in October & November…
Online workshop: A Creative Art Journey €45.00 (EUR)
October 16 – November 23; 2018
(12 lessons over 6 weeks; posted on Tuesdays and Fridays)
This workshop combines art history with scrapping/art journaling – Lessons available in English and Dutch
If you love art journaling and are eager to learn some art history along the way, this is the workshop for you! In 12 lessons you will be introduced to 12 different art periods in time. Each lesson concentrates on a specific art period, handling the characteristics and showing the artists and highlights. Every lesson comes with multiple prompts – inspired by the specific period/art – from which you can choose which one suites you best. Find more info and/or REGISTER HERE
It’s been years since I taught this workshop and I’m looking forward to teaching again!
And the next photos are the reason I’m late today… I’m sure you all want to see how the lilac book case back/wall turned out but when I wanted to take a photo this morning my camera’s batteries were empty and I had to charge them first before I could take photos again… while the batteries were charching I sat at my desk and lost myself in creating. I totally forgot the time untill my fave radio programm started – MyOhMy, it must be 2 pm then?!
Yep, it was… so I put the batteries back in, took these photos and here I am!
Here’s the lilac back of the case I told you about last week. You commented with some lovely ideas to add to this wall but I haven’t decided yet what, or if, I want to do that so for now I leave it like this. It IS lovely as it is after all.
And this is what’s on my workdesk right now…
Yep, working on Zetti collage examples for the in-person workshop I teach on September 22.
And something artsy to finish this blogpost off:
The Chronicles of Marit 2018 – Week 32
The Chronicles of Marit 2018 – Week 33
Have a great afternoon y’all – hope you have some time left to do something nice, like collageing a Zetti 😉
Afternoon Marit. I think you even have more pairs of scissors than I have. Your desk is always lovely and neat – even when you are working on something.
Take care. God bless.

You’re right, the lilac really works on the back of the bookcase! I love the crochet blanket on the bed too…isn’t ti great that crochet is coming back into fashion? Your art journals are amazing, I do appreciate other people’s skill at creating these.

I agree with Margaret, you desk is looking mighty clean while you are crafting. I typically lose sight of my desk for days when I craft. I am simply a messy crafter. This year I started coloring in coloring books and that is the only time I am neat, because it requires the book and pencils!! Your class sounds great and I love the art you shared. Have a blessed day!

Hi Marit, the room does look lovely. I often lose days, especially when we have a bank holiday here, and I forget, then I spend all day Tuesday thinking it’s Monday!Hope the course goes well. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #9 X
The room looks lovely and I love your desk, but what caught my eye this week were the two chronicles pages – gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. Have a good week. Caro x (#27)
oh yes, I love the lilac and it looks fabulous alongside the throw on the bed. Have a great week. Helen #1
The wall is lovely – no need to do anything else to it until you feel the urge! Super journal spreads, very inspiring! Hope your workshop goes well and you get lots of registrations. Unfortunately, I’m banned from taking any lessons until I finish the ones I already signed up for and never found the time to even download them. The art history aspect sounds intriguing! Have a lovely week! zsuzsa #21
I too am amazed by the clean desk you keep. Such organisation will make you a good teacher hope your workshop goes well. Very pretty purple wall. #35
More fabulous pages, I so love the way you work. Have a great woyww, Angela x17x
Hi Marit, the lilac looks lovely and I’m sure it will tell you if it wants any further decoration lol. Hope you get lots of uptake for your course. Great journal pages as always. Sarah #4
Remarkable journal pages. They look like fun. Of course, I LOOVE your beautiful desk that is always neat and tidy. Hope you get lots of registrants for your class. I never had an art class in my life, but I took three years of art history as an undergrad. I know people will be amazed at all there is out there in art, and mixed media once it came into vogue. Happy belated WOYWW from # 5.
Hi Marit, it’s a daily thing for me losing track of time. If I had more of it spare I would jump at the chance of joining your workshop.
You will have a magic moment i’m sure and design something amazing for your Lilac blank canvas just enjoy it’s warmth for the moment.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Hi Marit, we are mainly going there to see a band we love called Kamelot, in concert, at the 013. We do have a couple of FB friends there, who are admins of the fanclub too. So we will get a chance to mmet them in person, as well as see a concert. Hugs, Shaz X
Hello Marit! I seem to lose track of time too. When I get ready for bed, I often say, “That was fast”. I am slow to getting around to visit WOYWW. But by the time I finish, it will be Wednesday again!! Thanks for the visit. I finally posted some more photos from our vacation today. It’s dreary here and looking at all those sunny photos makes me want to hop a plane right now! Have a blessed day my friend!
