Meet Ingmar – and woyww #376

August 17, 2016 By Marit 13 Comments

The blue sky is not visible on the photo, you’ll have to take my word for it that it’s a beautiful Summer day in the Netherlands. I woke up early this morning, ready to make the most of this day. First, I took a photo of my work desk because it is Wednesday – ‘What’s On Your Work desk Wednesday’ day. While sipping my coffee (see the mug on my desk) I write this post but as soon as it’s done I will turn the computer off and go outside. This is not a day for deskhopping, not an ‘I stay inside and create’ day… my desk will  stay as is and I will be outside to enjoy my beautiful city on this wonderful day… (I should take some pics of ‘my city’ to show you soon…)

But here’s for you, the one who is sitting at the computer visiting work desks around the world: my desk this morning.

When you’re a regular visitor, you will remember I started a new art journal two weeks ago: Palimpsest (see this post) and you probably saw my attempt on collage last week (see this post)

I combined these two things and made small collages in my Palimpsest-journal and guess what? I liked it so much that I cut out and framed the pages! I put it in the living room right next to Ingmar.

Ingmar?

ingmar-and-collage

Ingmar is an old guy who lived in a stone.
Jenny de Bode lured him out.
She gave him a mouth,
and a nose
and eyes

and then she took him with her in her purse
and brought him to Middelburg.
Now he lives in my home
and watches over me

and over my collage.

I hope your day is as beautiful as mine.
Enjoy,
enjoy,
enjoy life.

Your artwork deserves to be framed, it’s really good. I like the boldness of the colours.
Have a good week and take care

Verrassend! Dat dit ook een resultaat is van je palimpsest.
Zowel vorm als kleur vind ik bijzonder mooi. Groot gelijk dat-ie Ingmar gezelschap mag houden.
    Liefs, Nel.

Happy Belated WOYWW. We all need to enjoy summer whilst it is still here. We have got some very strong winds and heavy rain showers now, and I am definitely looking forward to the sun coming back. I love your journal and the collage. I have been inspired recently to do an altered book, so now need to find a book that I want to alter! Ali x #37
