More lists

March 11, 2011 By Marit 21 Comments

I woke up early this morning. My beloved had to take the train to Amsterdam,
and my son first has a test at the university and after that, will take the plane
to Berlin to spend the weekend. That means I have the house to myself today!
That’s pretty rare to me! Because my beloved and I have a home business, we
are together all the time. I must say, I enjoy being alone at home for a change!

I spend the morning with taking photos with the self-timer (with satisfying
results) and I plan on making a page with one of the photos this afternoon.
If everything goes according to plan, the layout will be in time for the prompt
at These are a few of my favorite things, but I do have to post it Sunday at
the latest. (That’s good news for you – you will get another extra post!)

It’s not Sunday yet… so here’s what I made in the last couple of days.

Still enjoying the 30 days of lists!

List #2 – Thing’s you’re good at

List #3 – I’m looking forward to

List #10 – Wishlist

The numbers refer to the numbers of the prompts.
I don’t work on these prompts in the correct order.
I numbered my pages in my journal, and work on whatever ‘list’ I like.

The newspaper had an article about “Urban Intervention” this morning.
Have you ever heard of this? I was in oooh and aaah when I saw the photos
so I looked it up on the Internet for you.

Wikipedia: “Urban Interventionism is a name sometimes given to
a number of different kinds of activist art practices, art that typically
responds to the social community, locational identity, the built environment,
and public places….”

You might have heard of ‘knit graffiti’? That’s ‘Urban Intervention’ too!
My friend Lena wrote a post – with photos of her own ‘knit graffiti’ – here

However, the photo in the newspaper that caught my eye this morning
is this one:

This piece is made by an artist called Slinkachu.
You can find this photo, and a lot more, on his site.
I especially like his weblog The little people project.
I recommend you go there and have a smile!

There’s much more ‘urban intervention’ to be found on the Internet!
I have never seen anything like it in real life or in my city though, but
maybe it is there and I just didn’t notice? I will keep my eyes open!

I’m planning a creative weekend, and I’m starting this afternoon –
which is now!
Have a nice weekend, look out for little people and see you on Sunday!

How wonderful to get a quiet day alone!! I don’t get enough of them either.
I am in the middle of 395 pages at the same time. I like to work on lots of things at once. Why waste the gesso on your brush, when you can prepare another page with it, or paint, gel medium, you get the idea!!

I will be posting on different days this week too maybe. Some pages are due on Tuesday, and I never post then. Maybe I’ll just post them on monday? We will see. But I am excited for the next 3 days of work!!!

Have a wonderful alone day, and an even more wonderful weekend!!

    xxD
