A sunny day in Zeeland. Early sunshine came in my atelier and you can see the light on the window sill. The sun shines especially for my mum today as it is her birthday.
CONGRATULATIONS MAMA, SEE YOU IN A WHILE!
But before I take the bus to head to my parents to celebrate, I made a picture of my work desk. After all, it is Wednesday and yet another ‘What’s On Your Work desk’ day… here’s my photo
I’m still ‘into Zetti’s’ and another character appeared on my art journal spread. The nose was a left over that didn’t fit on the former Zetti I made (the mail art, see this post.) My 2016 Chronicles journal is almost finished – as you can see I am working on week 47 while we live in week 50 already… well, that’s what the notebook is for. I take notes in the notebook about my days and use that text later to create my week-spreads.
A Zetti figure also covers my new Chronicles art journal that I made for 2017. I showed you the binding with the beading last week and talked about creating the cover in the same color-combo (blue and grey.) Well… I tried that but the book seemed cold and icy when covered in blues… so instead of the modest blues & greys, I decided to make a exuberant, fun cover. I think I succeeded!

This 2017 journal will be the eight ‘Chronicles’ to fill… Michelle asked if she could see a photo of my stash of journals… good idea. I will take some photos soon, promise!

Mm Marit, am sorry not keen on zettis, so none created here. I wonder do you look at your journals regularly? or do they mostly stayed closed? I’ve toyed with it but think I’d lose the plot and rarely use them.

Oooh, I like the new cover – looks like you’re all set for 2017! I didn’t realize New-Zealand was named after your part of the Netherlands – just researched it when you mentioned Zeeland. Oh you did do the right thing with the journal, that cover is fun and works really nicely with the binding. Am loving how prepared you are, and how there are no signs of panic at your place! I hope your dear Mama had a lovely birthday.
