Goodmorning lovelies. After a week of sunshine and Summer temperatures (25°C) this Friday started cloudy, but there’s no rain (yet) and the farmers sigh… nature is bone dry and crops do not grow. You can see it on the photo…
Friday haiku
| In lange rijen wachten aardappel en boer op een regenbui |
In long, straight, dry queues potatoe and farmer wait for the rain to come |
The photo was taken by my friend Lena Schreijenberg
I submit this haiku to Recuerda Mi Corazon where our lovely hostess Rebecca brings us all together to share a haiku on Friday: Haiku my Heart
Birthday cards
I spend last week creating cards for several birthdays.
For a colleague
For a friend
(this one was made after I saw Lena’s photo, I guess I was inspired by the lines without even realizing it… now that I upload this picture, I suddenly notice!)
I hope you are doing well coping with lockdown – when restrictions make you stay at home still – and when restrictions are lifted: don’t visit crowded places and stay safe!
Je t’embrasse

it seems the entire world is a queue of waiting and longing!
oh for simpler days, safer days.
you are as welcome as rain-
thank you for being here as sweet and present as a flower charmer!
xo
Dear Marit, I love how Lena’s lines made it into your birthday greetings! And… the empty furrows in the field bring me saddness at the moment. But I feel hope, that the rains will come and bring new life and food. We had a little rain here after long months of none. There is so much out of balance. I trust the earth to help us find our way. I am so grateful for you and the creative sparks you bring each Friday! Thank you!
Wishing for rain to come your way for the farmers and fields ~ Lovely collage art cards ~ ^_^

May the rain fall on your fields soon. I love rain. And potatoes. 🙂
Our temperature today was 32 degrees Celcius.
Waiting for rain is hard for the farmer, and hard for the desert dweller.
Hoping the rains come your way. We’ve had lots and the river here is rising. Prayers for the farmers and their crops.
Oh, what deliciousness to enjoy in a few short months.
I am sure the farmers here are thinking we have received your rain here. They are having trouble getting their crops planted the soil is too wet. Another great photo and haiku to remember this spring.
Queues resonate in today’s physical distancing world.
Happy Sunday Marit. Stay safe
Much💒love
I live in Southern California, and I know how hard it is to wait for rain.
