In my former post, I showed you all the things I bought on Queen’s day.
At least I thought I did…
HA! Was I wrong!
I realized later that I bought even more then the books and magazines
I showed, but since I already stored those things I completely forgot
about it. Can you believe that?!
So here’s more ‘Queen’s day stuff’…
I bought three old record-albums, but I didn’t choose them because of
the music! You should have seen the look on the guys face, when he asked
me what music I was looking for and I told him I was looking for nice
album covers, and didn’t mind the music. ๐
I love, love, LOVE this album cover.
The seventies look of it, the colours, the title…
My beloved said it’s a good band too: ‘Humble Pie’
I wouldn’t know, but let him have the record while I keep the sleeve!
Another gorgeous album cover!
(I couldn’t choose which one I would show you, so I show both!)
It was a bit hard to take a good photo of this album sleeve.
The silver and pink are fluorescent (see that Lena!) and I fell head over heels
for that image! The colours are way out of my comfort zone, but the seventies
feel to it did the trick.
I know, I know…. Eeeckkk… it’s a James Last record!
(I will cover that name somehow… don’t know how yet but ideas will come
in time – I hope)
I’m planning to make very special, folding art journals with the covers.
(Saw something like it here at Teesha Moore’s blog – mine will be a lot bigger
since the size of the sleeves is 12 x 12))
And how could I forget to show you this sweetie..
Yep, it’s a stamp!
You can put the tiny, little letters on to the holder and make 5 lines of text.
It’s a bit hard to explain – the ‘holder’ part rotates while you stamp. KWIM?
It came with two boxes of alpha’s.
Here’s a detail photo.
I will need tweezers to put these tiny stamps in the holder!
Nothing more to show you today.
I did plan some creative time this week, but I suffered from head aches
in the last two days. Whenever I took an aspirin, the pain would be lesser,
but it never went away completely and came back just as hard.
No art journaling for me. No nothing, really…
So Petra, here’s your answer to your question: “Are you really creative
every day? Do you ever suffer from a “dip”?
Yes, I have creative ‘dips’ sometime – and not only because of a head ache –
but over all, I try to do something creative every day.
Sometimes, it’s only painting a background or adding a little something to one
of my page. Other days, I spend hours on my art journals.
It depends on other obligations I have – and how dirty the house is ๐
I hope the weekend will be a head ache free one, because the weather will be
gorgeous (Summer temperatures!) and I have planned some nice things!
Keep your fingers crossed…
… and enjoy your weekend!!!
Hope you feel better today.
Great finds. You know it would be fun to use the whole flat of letters as a stamp for the background of a card or tag.
Those albums are soooooo cool…and Love love love love love that stamp!! AWESOME!! Sorry bout your headache! Hope you are better now! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
Oh Marit, I am sorry about your headaches. I think there must be something in the air – I too have had a “tricky” few days… I have worked digitally quite a lot and I am heartily sick of my PC! Maybe tomorrow I will paint before I go to work!
Have a great Sunday my friend!
xoxo
Those are some great buys! Hope you feel better soon!
fantastic album sleeves.. can’t wait to see what you do with them. =)
Oh no Marit! Head aches like that are awful. I hope you are feeling better now.
Those covers are awesome!! See? You went “junque” shopping on Queens Day!! The q in Junk makes it fancy junk!!
Your new stamp looks great too!! It is a self inking stamp I believe. The flip up and down type, likee you said, usually has it’s own ink.
Enjoy the week friend!
