Recalcitrant

January 14, 2011 By Marit 27 Comments

I’m a reasonable woman – at least I think so.
But sometimes, just now and then, I’m in an recalcitrant mood…

.. and it’s kinda fun, ’cause when I’m in such a mood I make drawings like this:

Or art journal pages like this:

(This is for A Year in the Life of an Art Journal – the word was “Thanks”
Well, thank you for this challenge! Some old anger came out for this one
and it felt so good to throw it on the page!)

After this, my recalcitrant mood was over.
I looked at my page and giggled.
I’m satisfied with it, and I’m back to my normal, peaceful self again.

The next art journal page is especially made for ~*~Patty …

… who pointed me to the Wednesday Stamper (Patty is in the DT.)

The theme for this week is “Music” and you have to use at least
one stamp on your page. I started with a photo of clouds
and added my picture to it with the gel medium transfer technique.
I used a text-stamp on the right side of the page.
The handwritten words come from the song ‘Clouds’ (Joni Mitchell)

“Something’s lost but something’s gained in living everyday”

You might remember zentangling?
I did this a lot early 2010 but grew tired of it for a while.
I picked it up last week and made this fun page in my little zentangle journal.

And… last but not least…
Did you see that artsy button in my side menu?
Rachel asked me to be guest host at A Year in the Life of an Art Journal
and ofcourse I said yes… how could I not? Art Journaling – YEAY!!!

Enjoy your weekend!

P.S. I managed pretty well in not rambling this time, don’t you think?
