“Rosy fingered dawn”
Do those words ring a bell? A famous painting is called that way. I love that painting but most of all, I love that title. Whenever I see a pink-purple sky, those words come to mind.
Lena Schreijenberg’s photo reminded me of that title.
Rozevingerig, iets meer paars, wat minder geel maar toch: ‘de Kooning’ |
Rosy fingered dawn. More purple, less yellow but still a ‘de Kooning’ |
I submit this haiku to Recuerda Mi Corazon where our lovely hostess Rebecca brings us all together to share a haiku on Friday: Haiku my Heart.
For those who have never seen the painting: here it is: “Rosy fingered dawn” by Willem de Kooning.
And it is just a coincidence that my last art journal spread also shows yellow and purple…
The Chronicles of Marit 2019 – Week 41
And that’s it for today… not a long blogpost ’cause my son and his girlfriend are coming over this weekend and there’s some things that need to be done this morning – some housekeeping (make the beds!) grocery shopping – and I’ve planned some atelier-me-time this afternoon before they arrive.
It looks like it’s going to be a nice weekend, I hope yours will be nice too.

Love the photo and your haiku. And the dolls on your art journal spread, love those kind of old white poreclain dolls!

Lieve groet, Nel.
