Hi there lovelies, goodmorning!
I was not around last week and don’t have much time this week either… but since I rose very early this morning I have a little time to upload this photo and write a few words before I have to catch a train to visit my friend Mandy (we have a ‘playdate’ today, YAY! Get out the paint, I’ll be there in a while Mandy…!)
So, my desk… there isn’t much on it these days but this was yesterday: the old jeans my mum asked me to repair for her.
The jeans was torn on her knee but I decorated it all with pieces of Japanese fabric and Sashiko stitches… I love how it turned out and so does my mum!
And that’s it for today sweeties. I have to get dressed, pack my journals and hit the road (uhrm, ‘rails’, as I am taking the train.) Hope to visit you at the end of the week… see ya!
Hope you and Mandy have a fabulous creative day Marit. The jeans are great, no wonder your mum was so pleased. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
hope you have a great play day!! Helen #2
I love those patches! I think they would make a wonderful addition to any denim article and so I might just have to look up how to do this Sashiko. I remember how impressed i was by your jacket but something like that would be far beyond me – I might manage a patch though!
Enjoy your day with your friend – can hear those wheels clicking on the train.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx
Love the repair work! Hope you have a wonderful day with your friend! Anne X 14
Love those patches Marit, so on trend yet unique in their own special way. Enjoy your play day, I am very envious. I have much to catch up with over at QDS so I will be along to visit later. Mom has not been well so I have been spending time with her along with juggling life itself.
Hugs for a super creative day & Happy WoywW Tracey #17?
You are the Sashiko queen, the patches are brilliant. I’d like a denim jacket like that! Have a fab day out with your friend!

Fabulous repair job and great slow stitching, too. Have fun while away. Happy WOYWW from #1.
Love the jeans not surprised your mum did also. Hope you enjoyed your day with your friend. Ani #18
Oh yes! play day sounds good to me. Have fun. Great job with the jeans too. Wishing you a very happy woyww with hugs, Angela x11x
Daar kan geen nieuwe broek tegenop! Wat is ie leuk geworden. Ik zie er een trotse mam mee rondstappen.
Beautifully done mending. Have a great time with your friend. xxx Maggie (Silvercrafter) #9
Such pretty jeans! I see ripped and torn jeans here that are the “fashion”, but I much prefer yours! The stores even sell them “new” already ripped and torn! Hope you had fun with Mandy!
I’ve tried to join your challenges, I got as far as cutting out the canvas that I will use to cover my junk journal, and that is as far as I’ve gotten so far! But it will get done, and then I will share. Thanks for sharing, have a great week! Lindart #26
My curiosity about this form of stitching and mending has been growing in the past few year. The jeans look just wonderful and the stitching is inviting and playful.
