Hello to you lovely ones on this beautiful Valentine’s morning! I have a busy day ahead (lots of plans and projects to work on) so I keep this blogpost short and sweet.
Let’s get right to it, shall we?
Here’s what’s on my desk this morning
Last weekend I taught an Art Journaling workshop at De Scrapheap – a lovely little craftshop in the Netherlands that has a big workshop-space. It was an inspiring and fun day with a bunch of enthusiastic and creative ladies who created up a storm!
And of course after the workshop was done I had to explore the shop and buy me some new goodies! On my wishlist was a mixed media paperblock which I had plans for…
I cut the thick paper in squares (8 x 8 cm – 3.15 x 3.15 inch) to use for the project 365 somethings Tammy “Daisy Yellow” Garcia and Hanna “iHanna” Andersson started this year.
I plan on creating 365 little ‘compositions’ on this white squares. Because I have to catch up I made the first a series of seven.
And I started the second series already, as you can see on my desk-photo.
I’m off now to fill the day with the ‘somethings’ I have in mind.
Thanks for stopping by,
enjoy your day.
Kiss your Valentine and
see ya again soon!
Oh my, you HAVE been busy!! And look at all those lovely folk creating – what a great, vibrant space!
Happy WOYWW 🙂

Hi Marit, I love the idea of your series of 7 somethings at a time. They make a great alternative to ATCs. Your first series are fabulous! Have a great week. Sarah #14
I love your organised crafting area – and so neatly labelled for our delight. Wish I could do that but I am useless at that kind of thing.
Glad your workshop went well, lovely photos.
Now to await your continued studies, like the first seven very much.
Hugs Neet 2 xx
Wonderful space, there, Marit, you really can see all the creativity oozing fro the spaces, and yes abuy on paper is a must… and can be justified more often than not!
😉 happy WOYWW, Shaz in Oz.x #16
Hi Marit, those look great! It looks like your class are really enjoying themselves. We are coming to the Netherlands in September for a week. So I shall be trying to find some nice craft stores, lol. I know rubber stamping is a big thing there. We are staying in Tilburg for a few days, then going up to Amsterdam for a few more, then heading down to Bruges on the way to the ferry at Dunkirk. Already seen there is a Van Gogh museum at one, and a Salvador Dali one in another, so they are top of the visit list!Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #15 XxX
Lovely “somethings” you have made – love the composition! Wished that the Scrapheap was a little closer or easier to get to by public transport so I would definitely join a few workshops there.
Have a wonderful week! xo Cheetarah #24
What a wonderful time you all had! You can feel the happiness and enjoyment pouring out of the pictures. I’ve been cheering The Netherlands on at the Winter Olympics, they’ve been awesome in the speed skating!

Oh how I wish I had been to your class. I saw your post on Facebook but I was having a disjointed morning.

Hi Marit, I love your organised desk, very neat. It looks like everyone is enjoying the workshop, and of course you must go shopping … Have a lovely week Heather #13
You do seem to have had fun, and by Googling De Srapheap, I found it was little more than 1/2s drive from my sister’s place in Dordrecht, next trip over will see us taking a trip there
great looking desk and class photos! I like those little art squares. How are you mounting them? Are they kept in a book or binder of some sort. What ant a neat idea! Have a great week. Vickie #39

You lucky thing! that looks like a great day. Looks like you’re having yet more fun, love the 365 Compos. great idea. Have a lovely belated WOYWW, Angela x20x
Real art, that series of seven. They look fab. Love that you’ve started another set in such wildly different colours. Wish I could have been at that workshop, It’s great to find others so inspiring that you want to create as soon as you can! And for a huuuuge change, I am thrilled to say that you use something that I do too…those water soluble crayons. Love them with solid stamps.
Groetjes.
