Time flies and wohwee, it is again Wednesday! Time for “Tales from the Studio.”
Wanna know what’s going on in my crafty space?
Wanna see what’s on my workdesk this morning?
I invite you to come on in and look around…
Enjoy!
First, I have a golden oldie layout for you โย lifted from one of my scrapbook albums.
I don’t create ‘traditional scrapbook layouts’ anymore but I find it fun to dive into my albums and lift a ‘golden oldie.’ Which layout I come up with is random – blogreaders name the number and this time the request came from Winnie. She asked me to open album 6 and show Layout #5
I found a layout with a story!
Rock ‘n Roll is an Attitude…
This layout is made in June 2009 and shows ‘my men.’ Actually, it is the second layout I made with the photo/title/theme… I did not like the first one and started over. I found both layouts next to each other in the album. Here’s a picture of both:
You can read the complete background story in THIS OLD BLOGPOST
When you visited my desk last week, you must have seen the Box I was altering,
to store my index card-collages in.
Well, here’s the finished Box of Longing
… and here’s three more collages I made last week for Glue it Tuesday
The Desert Is In Constant Motion
New Dimensions In Time
Everything. Everywhere.
Last but not least… my workdesk!
There’s a lot going on here… I usually clean up one thing before I start working on another, but I was focussed on making the cover for the ‘writing over writers’ journal and did not even notice what was laying around. Ha… that must be a sign I’m starting to get used to my studio and desk.
WOYWW #200
What’s On Your Workdesk. Wednesday is hosted by our pretty headmistress Julia.
Each Wednesday, artists hop all over the world to view desks in all shapes… clean ones and messy ones… it’s fun! Find the list of participants at the WOYWW headquarters at Stamping Ground
(Oh, and all that knitting is done in the evenings in front of the telly – to keep my hands busy and avoid smoking… Yes sweeties, I’m ‘clean’ for over two weeks now! It is also getting easier every day, thank god – otherwise I would end up with a zillion knitted slippers ๐ )
Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
hope to visit as much desks as possible today, so see you around!

Hi Marit, I enjoyed looking at all your projects again this week. Love the colours on your box of longing, and your collages have reminded me again to try machine stitching on my paper projects – so many ideas so little time! Have a great week MMx #73

I really like your collage work but was distracted by your super tidy desk. I have Wally hidden on mine and I am sure you wouldn’t be able to find him.

So glad you pulled my pick out! Such fun layouts! I love both of them. Such a fun vibe. How could they not with Jimmy on them! Such adorable rockin’ pics too! A friend of mine just was elected Chairman of our Music Hall of Fame, so I am thinking I need to make a layout for him! Thank you for the kind visit! Enjoy the week!

Good for you Marit!! I can’t believe you did it!! You will have to tell me (in an email soon) why???? Because I wouldn’t want to do it unless I had to and I know you were the same way. I hope it is nothing serious.
And I called them sploches. It rhymes with watches, like the clock on your wrist. duh I’m sure you know what I mean. But it is my own made up word!! LOL!!
I WANT TO REQUEST A LAYOUT!!!
Book 1 Layout 1
Your men look so handsome in that layout too! You made lovely scrapbooks. I have many in a hard plastic box at the bottom of a pile of stuff that will soon be a closet. I can’t wait to see them again!!!
I am also so sorry I haven’t done a NJ piece for you yet! I swear I want to but I never have time!! ugh.
Be well my friend!!!

Hi there, Marit,
Thanks for your comments on our site. Yes, it is indeed Wales – we live around 30miles from those glorious views.
You have had a really busy, arty week. Loved the box – beautiful. And your desk – so neat and tidy! Trust you won’t need to knit too many slippers.

Hi Marit – Shang-a-lang and belated WOYWW greetings. Great post as usual. Love both of your two layouts, fab photos. The pink one certainly captures the feel of the 60/70s. Great quote – is that from Dave Mason of Pink Floyd? Your record sleeves look pretty similar to our record collection… trouble is we have guitars and keyboards everywhere which doesn’t help the lack of space I have in my crafting area LOL.
Love how your Box of Longing turned out – lovely colours. Have a great week… Gill x #93
