Wednesday… “Into the Studio” day… WOYWW day… here we go!
Here’s Wednesday’s golden oldie scrapbook layout โ lifted from one of my old scrapbook albums.
(I don’t create ‘traditional scrapbook layouts’ anymore but every Wednesday I dive into my albums and lift a ‘golden oldie.’ The layouts I pick are random, YOU – blog readers – name the number of the album and layout to show. Let me know in a comment which album you want me to open next week – to avoid that you name layouts that have already been requested, you can find a list showing the ‘free’ numbers to choose on this page.)
This weekโs request came from Anne from France – from Ink~a~Doodle~Do
This was Anne’s comment on June 26th…
Hahaaa… no Anne, Album 22 does not excist indeed… and what’s that with Album 7 – layout 7???
You must be the seventh person asking for that number ๐ (I showed that layout here – and to avoid doubles in the future, I published a list to choose from here)
So… what did I do???
I turned around the numbers of the first request… that way it became Album 3 – layout 22.
As you can see on the above photo album 3 only has 17 layouts BUT most of these layouts are spreads (= ‘double pages.’) Instead of counting the spreads, I counted the pages. I came to layout 12 in album 3 that way… so here’s for you Anne:
That’s me on the photo – taken in 2001 – and wowzah… do I look good there if I may say so myself.
(Makes me think… should I get a hair cut with bangs again?)
No index cards to show this week, but here’s my latest art journal spread
The Chronicles of Marit – Week 27
.
And for all you WOYWW-watchers:
here’s what my desk looked like this morning
The journal that is in the make here is for a project with my neighbour. We both made a journal that we want to exchange from time to time to work on each other’s pages. I therefore call this journal “There and Back Again” (“Daarheen en Weer Terug.”) For the Tolkien lovers: yes, that’s also the name of Bilbo Baggin’s book. The title inspired me to come up with this special binding in the shape of an arrow (it goes the other way on the back cover.) I will show you good pictures of it when it’s finished.
However, this is not all that’s going on in the Studio…
Here’s a photo of the cabinet in the middle of the room (I put stuff there that needs to dry.)
I thought you might like the extra view of another area of the studio.
Do you have no idea what WOYWW stands for? Well, The WOYWW headquarters can be found over at The Stamping Ground from where the lovely lady Julia hosts the biggest weekly blog hop – and she explains everything about it in the side menu on her blog. Just click the link to find out.
It has been quite hot in the Netherlands the last week – today the sky is a bit ‘hazy’ which keeps the sun from shining too bright and temperatures are bearable in the office room. For a while now I have plans for changing the header on my facebook page – I might work on that today… but I could also sit in the garden and read. Nooo, I don’t feel guilty at all for not doing any housework… I had a “housekeeping day” yesterday and even did some extras like cleaning the windows and mopping the floor. So today is MINE to fool around on facebook or elsewhere… ha! Hope your day is great too. Do something fun… like come LIKE ME on Facebook ๐
Loving your old lo and that journal page is AMAZING!! Loving the bright colors!
Great desks and works, love the journal page with the cycling featured.

Hi Marit,
I have not been around for a few weeks and have missed all the regular people to pop in a visit, ah the glory of having to work at least it pays for my craft habit. Love that journal page nice and colorful.
Happy WOYWW

I love your journal spread for July, lovely deep colour and lots of movement! I also love the idea of the Bilbo Baggins journal that you exchange with your neighbour – great fun! All my crafting friends are online! My other friends are not crafters at all. Like you said last week, wouldn’t it be nice to live nearer – maybe to share a journal too? I wonder what the pages would be like! Intriguing. Enjoy your nice carefree day! Julie Ann #45
love that page! Too hot here to do anything. Happy WOYWW Anne x #69
Hi Marit-
You are a good woman to find a spread that works with Anne’s numbers. And yes, you look great in the pictures. Fun journal page; I love all the colors and the journaling and the bikes. Oh wait. That’s everything! What an inventive binding for the There and Back journal…really cool. Hope the weather starts to cooperate soon. Have a good week.

Your journal page looks stunning, I love the writing on it. How clever to have a seperate place for your “things to dry” and I love that mail art stand, what a great idea to display those like that.
Happy WOYWW and I wish you a lovely week.

I am loving your journal page, and how you have labelled the items to inform us exactly of what we are seeing on your desk. Your card stand is a fabulous way to store your mail art too, I love the idea. Happy WOYWW! Danie #34
