I try to avoid saying: “is it really Wednesday again, it seems like yesterday since I posted a photo of my desk – time flies…” but today I say this anyway ’cause MAN, did this week flew by! I had all kinds of appointments and ‘things’, like helping an Eritrean family put their new clothes-closet together (pfff… not being very handy in that kind of things, my beloved and I spend hours and hours on that!) and on Sunday we visited my son in Amsterdam.
As a result, I didn’t have much time left to spend in my atelier. I got rather nervous because I also have to work on the Book of Days tutorial that needs to be send to Effy soon… (Did you know I am a bonus teacher at Book of Days 2019? If you register for this all-year-ecourse before the end of December, you pay the early bird price – so if you’re interested, click THIS LINK for all the info and to register. If you sign up for BOD2019 using the link on my blog, I get commission and since I am in need of a new can of Mod Podge, I would be grateful if you did!)

Anyway, yesterday afternoon I had a little bit of free time and I used it to make a background in my Chronicles journal. It’s on my table, together with dirty water (I will change it in a minute!) and other ‘stuff’. I’m glad there’s something on my desk that I could photograph ’cause on Wednesday I share a pic of my desk with the tribe over at Julia’s blog – all kinds of artists share a photo of their work desk and visit each other at What’s On Your Work desk Wednesday. It’s a fun event that you are welcome to visit and/or join!
In the past couple of weeks, I created the following spreads in my weekly “Chronicles” journal
The Chronicles of Marit 2018 – Week 44
The Chronicles of Marit 2018 – Week 45
The Chronicles of Marit 2018 – Week 46
The start of the Week 47 spread is, as you could see, on my desk but I will put that aside and work on my Bonus Tutorial for the rest of the day. It’s going to be an awesome ‘lesson’ if I may say so myself…! I hope you spend your day doing something fun, fulfilling and inspiring too!
I love seeing your pages each week, Marit – all so different!
Happy WOYWW 🙂

Oh well done on finding time Marit, I agree about fast the week has flown, it doesn’t take much to fill a day with other stuff does it! I love week 46 especially, reminds of the tour of town you gave us last week and I adore the letters that fit and fill the shapes, one of my favourite ever graphic techniques. I’m sure you had a great day with your son, and I hope this week is a little less busy!
Hi Marit, yes, Brushos are a pigment powder like the Bisters. So much fun to use. Love the journals, The treescape photo in 44 is awesome, and like Julia, my thought was of last weeks tour when I saw 46.Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 X
Time does fly and it’s gets as fast as a jet plane as you get older! Well done one the pages (and they are pretty cool)! Such a good feeling to get things accomplished! Thanks for popping by and have a great week!

yes, the week (the month, the year!) has flown. Loving your pages as ever! Thanks for your visit. knees “creak” quite a lot now down on the floor! Helen #5
Hi Marit, the journal pages all look great, very colourful. Yes, the time goes fast. I think it goes faster as we get older, and also faster towards the end of the year. Thanks for stopping by earlier and have a lovely week Heather x #8
Hi Marit, I don’t know where the time has gone either though my parents have had some problems and they have occupied my time quite a lot. I love your journal pages. I don’t know why but the Dutch seem to be very artistic when crafting, in a different way to those in the UK. Don’t know if you’ve ever read the ART Specially books. I have one that I refer a lot with work by Geralda Jansen and love the projects. Wishing you a happy woyww, Angela x16x
Hi Marit! Your Chronicle spreads are fabulous!! And your desk is so clean for being so creative! Happy WOYWW! Julie #26
Love, love, love the face on week 44 Marit. I do enjoy seeing your journal pages and can’t wait to get started with Book of Days 2019. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #10
Gorgeous journal pages, Marit! You are another really productive worker on WOYWW who usually puts me to shame, although I have been quite good this week! Well done, helping the Eritrean family with their clothes closet. They must have been so pleased and grateful for that. Hope you had a lovely visit with your son in Amsterdam. Thank you for your visit – so glad you like my flowers. I’ve really got to get my act together to complete this project as there isn’t much time left now. Yes, Ruby is a very naughty kitty and it’s so funny how Lily runs to us and tells tales on her when she’s in trouble! I love how their little personalities are so different.
Happy belated WOYWW,
