Hi there, hello hello my fellow deskers… I’m back (at least this week) to show you my desk and see what you are all up to. It’s been 10 weeks without me bloggin’ on Wednesday (but I published art and stuff on Fridays, if you’re interested you can scroll back) and I sure missed you – but with the new job and all things I still want to do (and have to shove into four days instead of seven) I really couldn’t find time to join the group. Or maybe I could have, but I wouldn’t have time to visit you back and that wouldn’t be fair…
but some routine settled in by now and I reckon I can find the time to do a round of desk-hoppin’ this week so HI, here I am again, catching up and showing you my desk.
I must be honest: I am writing this post on Sunday and the desk shows what is on it on Sunday morning. I hope to finish that Chronicles spread today and maybe play with the ‘green stuff’ too, if there’s time left. I joined a swap a couple of weeks ago – people send of ‘surprise envelopes’ containing all kinds of scraps and papers and ‘thingies’ and receive an envelope too, to work with. I received mine last week and as you can see, the woman who send me the envelope filled it up with all kinds of green paper and images… I think it will make a nice art journal page!
Because it has been 10 weeks since I showed you my desk, I have an extra photo for you… here’s the desk that is to my left. It’s filled with ‘old paper’ and stuff because on Saturday I will teach a workshop inspired by ‘old/archive documents’.
Yep, my job at the Zeeuws Archive is so inspiring that I made up a workshop with it!
This “Vintage” workshop is on Saturday in Middelburg, it’s only a couple of days from now, I know, but there’s still a spot if you like to join. Click the image for more info.
I may be busy but I never fail to work in my Chronicles art journal. I may be a few weeks behind but it’s the one thing that never gets abandoned… here’s the spread I created for week 42.
The Chronicles of Marit 2019 – Week 42
November is well on its way and I am preparing for December too… if you follow me/my blog for some time you know what that means: the Top 2000 blog party is coming up again! It’s still a few weeks before we can vote for the music-list of 2019 (the voting week is in the first week of December) and then another 3 weeks until Christmas, but time flies and before you know it the festivities start! I already jotted down songs to vote for and I am thinking about how I want to create-to-the-music this time. Shall I bind another ‘top 2000 journal’? Create on postcards maybe? Choose a theme to pick my songs? And will you join me in creating to the music? You ARE invited you know!!! Click the link to learn everything about this international blogparty!
I hope you liked to see/read an update from me. I am going to schedule this post now, and hope to visit you Thursday or Friday, I’m looking forward to see what you are up too!
Yay, great to see you back Marit. Love the latest chronicles (although I have been following them on FB too). That swap sounds like an interesting idea, I look forward to seeing what you do with all the green. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #1

So nice to see you back Marit and to hear that all is going well. It’s been hit and miss for me with busy times and family commitments but i’m hanging on in there. I love the idea of the envelope swap, looking forward to see how you are inspired by it. I used to be part of many swap groups until time got a hold of me.
I’m in need of a good catch up to see what you have been up too, i’ll get there eventually for sure.
Sending WoywW Hugs & thank you for keeping those chronicles going, we love them so much. Tracey #5

So good to see you lovely Marit, and so delighted to read that your work is inspiring you so! I would love to do the workshop! Glad that your Chronicles continue – you’d be lost without the creative moments you spend on it I’m sure.

Hi Marit! Nice to see you back – has it really been 10 weeks? – your desk and projects are as exciting as ever! I really like that face sketch. Good to know that your new job is going well. I work part-time too and I think it’s the best of both worlds! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #20
