Wavy lines

October 12, 2012 By Marit 19 Comments

Some days are like that.

Without reason or rhyme… suddenly…
you wake up in the morning and cannot seem to think straight.
There’s a fog in your head.

Days when you feel like this…

Golvende lijnen

als stoorzenders in mijn hoofd

geen haiku vandaag

Wavy, winding lines

Create jammer in my head

No haiku today

(Written – with a foggy brain – for Haiku my Heart Friday)

I guess this is the beginning of the flu.
Let’s hope it’s a mild cold instead.
A slight headache that will pass.

Let’s hope it is.

Here’s the spread I was not able to show last Tuesday.
It’s finished now.

The Chronicles of Marit 2012 – Week 40

 (Size: 24,5 x 49 cm – 9.65 x 14.86 inch)

I did all the things I had to do this morning.
I crossed all the ‘to do’s’ from today’s list.
‘Blogpost’ was the last topic –
it’s a short post but
you guys will have to do with it.

I’m gonna make me a pot of tea.
Add some honey maybe.

I still have that warm blanket laying on the couch.
There might even play an old rerun of a crime series on tv.
I think that is something I can handle this afternoon.
I’m outta here.

Thanks for visiting, dear ones!
Enjoy your weekend.
Stay warm, stay healthy,
watch an old tv series.

Het is niet lekker om je zo te voelen, maar toch moest ik lachen van herkenning. Zo voel ik me tegen en tijdens een migraineaanval, concentratie is er dan echt niet bij. De haiku is geweldig!

Nothing like a cup of hot tea while relaxing on the couch under a warm blanket.

    hot water, lemon,
    honey, one clove of garlic,
    a pinch of cayenne…

That’s what I do, seep them all together and camp out on the couch. I drink gallons of this when the fog hits. It came together in a haiku just for you today! Hope you are feeling better soon. Much love to you my friend! XO

feel better soon Marit… I often have that wavy feeling, but MS can be like that… the flu, and colds though, sometimes are the MOST miserable.

There are days my head feels like this without being sick, just too many thoughts! Hope you rest enough to avoid the flu!

Sorry to hear you might be feeling poorly. Relax and sip that tea, then make another cup and get some rest.

I see a poem in your writing. Forgive me as I take your words from this post and move them around a bit:

    Wavy, winding lines
    Create jammer in my head
    No haiku today
Let’s hope a mild cold instead.

This is beginning of the flu.
A slight headache that will pass.
    Let’s hope it is.
Because I want to show you all this spread

It’s finished now, I was not able
To show it to you when I wrote
Last Tuesday came, Last Tuesday went
I’ll drink this tea in bed.

    Much Peace

Hoop dat je niet erg ziek word, het heerst nogal bij mij op het werk ook allemaal van die mensen die net niet helemaal lekker zijn. Lekker met een deken en kop thee op de bank. Prachtige “spread” heb je gemaakt
    Beterschap, groetjes Carla

Great haiku in spite of the hammerhead! They say you should write what you know and you did! Feel better.
