I must have given some of you the impression that I had a special
announcement to make or something, when I told you I would be
here with a blogpost on Monday… You all know by now that I have
something very special cooking, but I wasn’t speaking of that last
Friday and my ‘special announcement’ won’t be here. (It will be soon
– I’m working hard to get the last details done before I can bring things
out in the open.)
Why blog on Monday then, you might ask?
Well, on Wednesday September 21st, Seth from The Altered Page will
host Paper Stacks, an online collaboration. All the participants will have
a blogpost up, showing images of stacks – be they papers, books, journals,
or anything else of their liking. Seth will post a list of all participating artists
on his blog so you can find all the links to the stacks. I thought it would be fun
to participate since my journal stack is getting higher and higher…
The 21st is on Wednesday, so I decided to move my ‘Tuesday post’
and publish it today in order to achieve a better partition in my posts.
That’s why…
Ofcourse I have my weekly journal page to show – you know that by now.
The Chronicles of Marit 2011 – Week 37
(23 x 31 cm - 9.1 x 12.2 inch) Used materials/techniques: old dictionary pages, gesso, scraps of fiber paper, stamps (dates - borders) cut out images from magazines, clear image (the 'fashion lady' Phinner send me, thanks sweetie!) Caran d'Ache watersoluble crayons, black marker
It’s an exciting month for Scrapbookers Anonymous!
Scrapbookers Anonymous challenge you to use your stash – which is a good
thing to do ’cause we are all hoarders and the drawers and closets gets full of
stuff we buy, and buy and buy but don’t use… (or am I the only one?!)
Scrapbookers Anonymous is celebrating it’s first birthday, and this Month is
full of mini challenges and prizes!!! I made something to celebrate with them.
I even combined two of their challenges to make it more fun!
Lena’s mini stash challenge was all about collage.
The theme is “celebration or party” and that’s not hard to do, ’cause it’s almost
my birthday! So I went with it… cutting out images and using the feathers my
dad send me some time ago.
Also in my stash: tons and tons of bling-bling… I’m not like Marilyn Monroe
(‘diamonds are a girls’ best friend’) and I don’t use rhinestones or other blingie
thingies much. This was the perfect opportunity to get them out and use them!
The September A-Z Challenge said: show us the letter “B” – so here you have it:
Bling Bling!!!
(I hope it shows – it was a crime to get a good photo of all the shining blingies!)
layout: 30,5 x 30,5 cm - 12 x 12 inch
Used materials/techniques: Core'dinations Core Color cardstock, Ranger Adirondack spray ink, cut out images, lots and lots of bling bling (all kinds of manufacturers) Stickers, peacock feathers, Caran d'Ache watersoluble crayons, white and black Posterpaint Sharpies
I hope you enjoyed this Monday post… Remember, I will be back here on
Wednesday to show you my paper/journal stack. You too can join the fun;
go to this post at The Altered page to read all about it.
See you on Wednesday!
I’ll be back Wednesday to check your stack.
Such great images on your journal page. HOLY CATS, your collage is awesome!!! LOVE that head piece you created, and the bling placement, LOL is fabulous!!!

I will be there tomorrow, too, Marit. You asked if you could get the same effect of air drying the handy wipes on my Monday blog post. You need the heat and vibrating action of the microwave to get the bubbles. You will get a lovely colored handiwipe, like what I had sitting on my plate before I zapped it, but you will not get the bubbled effect. I hope that helped.
Well Marit, your blingy LO is fabulous, just perfect for our letter B, loving your art journal page too. Thanks for playing along with us at Scrapbookers Anonymous.xxxx
You should definitely blog more often on Monday’s. Fabulous journal page and your challenge for SA. Love the BLING BLING. so cool how you used them on the bathing suits. I love it. You need to dig deep into your stash more often. =) thanks for playing along with us. We enjoy your creations.
