Another Wednesday, the sun is shining but raindrops from the last shower still linger on my window… the lighting on my desk is great though, ideal for creating. I haven’t decided what to work on yet. There’s that half-finished mini journal that I can bind or I may finish the page for “the project that I don’t want to reveal just yet.” Or maybe I tear up the page I created for The Documented Life Project (DLP) and start over, ’cause I don’t think I like the finished page I created with the latest DLP challenge…
But whatever project I choose to work on, the desk in front of my window is ready for it.
My desk to the left holds the half finished projects…
There is the finished DLP page (the purple/blue one) that I am in doubt with… I’m not very satisfied with how it looks but maybe I should leave it as is and turn the page for the next challenge. After all, we all know that not every page we create turns out to be “WOW” and that’s OK.
Next is a spread that I actually DO like very much!
The Chronicles of Marit 2015 – Week 4
The background is a gelatin mono print and the journaling (big lettering) was done with black and white (‘Posca’) markers. I love how it turned out!
Curious to see what other crafters are up to? Want to have a peek at more artists’ desks? Hop on over to Julia’s blog then, where you find the What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday link list. There are all kinds of crafters all around the world showing photos of their desks. Visiting their blogs is like making a world tour on your computer. Enjoy!
I think you should keep the page. Even if you are not satisfied with it. Life is not perfect. Some days are better than others. Some pages are better than others.
I did indeed like your other page, with the kolibri and the lettering. Brilliant!
Have a good week, hope the weather isn’t too bad,

Your space is nice and tidy and bright. I like the page that you are unsure of. ๐ The one that you’re happy with is beautiful. Well done, Marit. I’m waiting for a bright, sunny and especially WARM day here. The snow and cold haven’t stopped my crafting though, thankfully. Happy WOYWW!
We have sun here too but it’s very cold, can’t wait for the warm sunshine of spring!!!!
You look as though you have plenty going on, Marit. We can very very self critical can’t we and it’s hard when you do something you are not entirely satisfied with. I love your bird spread too though, the colours are gorgeous.
Have a good creative week.

I am so far behind already with my DLP pages! I always have the best of intentions at the beginning of the year and then I find myself participating in inspiring and fun but far too many projects. Oh well, that’s what happens when one is addicted to art supplies and has a fickle muse! LOL!

It’s cold here and we are expecting snow but I don’t really care as I don’t have to go outside for a few days so plenty of crafting I hope!
I hope you can sort out your journal page, l like the new one I must admit.
Have a good week

I like your page but I discard many things I’ve worked on if I’m not pleased with the result, maybe leave it and come back later you may think of other ideas for that page.

I would leave that page in and perhaps return to it later. If you really hate it that much just gesso over it perhaps. I hate tearing pages out – unless of course you can use the torn out page for something else? Serendipity squares, perhaps? It’s got nice colours! Love your Chronicles page – superb lettering! I laso like your card rack – I could do with something like that! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinky Doodle #34
LOVING your page!! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the hummingbird!!!!!!
I think we are usually our own worst critics!! Good luck on whichever project you decide to work on next. Have a great week & God bless!
Happy Crafting!

I love your work space! The light, your desk arrangement – love it ๐
I’m enjoying seeing everyone taking part in DLP. I meant to… and just never got round to it. Your Gelli plate page is gorgeous, I love those posca pens. My white just ran out and I feel lost without it!
