I just got back from the dentist, who pulled two teeth… there’s nothing much to do now than wait until the anesthesia wears to see how I will feel the rest of the day…ย right now I don’t feel any pain so I better use this ‘free time’ to write a blogpost. Let’s start with showing my workdesk and how it looked like this morning โ photographed for What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, I showed you my desk covered with stuff for the Art Route/Art Fair that I would go to on Saturday. Preparation for that fair cost me more time than I thought and I got no chance to visit the blogs of any of the WOYWW-ladies (and gentlemen) last week – I’m so sorry. I plan on visiting everyone that comments on this post and also the ladies that commented last week so if you are/were here and leave me a comment, you will certainly see me back!
For the ones who want to know how the Art Route was, well, awesome! Here’s two pictures taken that day. I had a wonderful time with my cousin and ceramist Mirjam van Sluijs…
… and her friend Janneke, who turned out to be an excellent promotor and saleswoman… here you see her selling my books.
Last but not least, I show you two harmonica books that I made for friends who are twin-sisters and turned fifty last August.ย That’s why the books look similar, but still are different (as my friends are too.)

Have a nice day you all and don’t forget to brush your teeth ๐
Heel mooi die harmonica kaartjes, lekker kleurig!! Echte cadeautjes hoor!
Enne… 2 kiezen eruit???? Ik ‘mag’ volgende week ook! Moeten er 3 (!!) op rij uit… Vind het zo erg en zoooo eng!!
Lovely books, Marit. Glad the fair went well. I haven’t opened an art Journal in over a month. I’m not home long enough between work and children activities. Some day….
Great pics of your craft sales and lovely books for your friends.

Marit,
Now this is the sort of art that I used to do all the time and loved it to bits, yours books are fantastic, I just wish I could touch them.
Have a great week and take care with your mouth, I hope it heals fast.
Hugs Eliza & Yoda
Happy WOYWW

Liefs, Monica
I was wondering what harmonica books were, did you mean accordion books? We could start a new thing, harmonica books, lol.
Your table full of goodies looks very inviting, hope you had a wonderful time.
Happy creating and happy woyww,

Congratulations on the success at the art show. If the twin’s books you showcased here are any indication, I know your work for sale was AMAZING! Happy WOYWW and Blessings!

what a fab little book design! And lovely execution of the design. Nice to see both – I’m so lazy if I make more than one of something I almost never bother to photo all of them ๐ But I love to see variation so really, I should!
The fair looks fun – I am always drawn to pottery at craft fairs..and homespun yarn and lots of other stuff I love but really have no room for ๐ Once I get done cleaning maybe I can indulge in fill up again LOL!
Happy WOYWW!

Great fun seeing your table full of creativity and your sweet friends/relatives there too…what a nice time it must have been!
Your books are so precious just like you are.

Thank you for stopping by my blog earlier. I’m glad your show was successful. I enjoyed seeing the gifts you made – very colorful. ๐ April #74
Hope you won’t have any pain after the anesthesia wears off.
Love the way you put the “what is what” in the picture! What a tidy desk you have. I wish I had time to visit more art fairs. (I still have small children, so art fairs aren’t usually very relaxing to visit with kids).
Lovely books you made for your friends!
groetjes,

Hi Marit, thank you for catching upbwith me, you didn’t find a woyww post as I am in Spain this week. I have my iPad but find it a little too tedious to do much other than keep an eye on things – I like a big screen and a keyboard! Glad your art route was a blast. I love those liittle books – awesome!
I love your “labeled” desk picture — perfect for all of us to feel we’ve really visited you in person. How lovely to have such great help for the Art Walk. Thanks for visiting and happy WOYWW, belatedly. ~ Laura #62
