woyww #280 (in slow motion…)

October 15, 2014 By Marit 17 Comments

.

I’m rather late with my post today but everything is going in slow motion these days. I catched a cold yesterday and I feel all drowsy and sleepy – know the feeling? – and you wouldn’t believe the amount of paper towels I use during the day.  Blaaahhh…

However, I did not want to miss What’s On Your Desk Wednesday so I took a photo of my desk this morning, although there’s not much going on there right now. But come on in and see for yourself…

WOYWW #279

WOYWW  (“What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday”) is a weekly blogseries, hosted by Julia from Stamping Ground. Hop on over to Julia’s blog to find the list of participants and visit crafty desks all around the world.

A couple of days ago, I practised working with oil pastels… I’m not very fund of the material and it has been quite some time since I used them, but I thought I’d give it a try again inspired by this post/video on Dirty Footprints Studio.

Well, I’m off to take it easy today (and the rest of the week!) – visit some of the participant’s blogs/desks, hang on the couch watching tv, read a book or maybe colour some more doodles in the colouring book. Thanks for stopping by. Have a good day y’all – don’t catch a cold!

Awesome oil pastel piece! I love the idea of labelling everything on your workdesk. I have the app for that, but have not thought of using it for WOYWW. Your work space is so tidy!
Take care of you. Hope you feel better soonest.

Hi Marit, your desk is super tidy – everything just so and I love how you label it all for us to see 🙂 I’ve never attempted to use oil pastels and not sure I will, think I’ll stick to my watercolours and inks for now. Thanks for your comments earlier. We are indeed an hour behind but not for long – soon the clocks will be turned back one hour for daylight saving in winter.

I’ve noted your preference for an Amazon voucher should you win the giveaway but would like to point out that The Craft Barn ships internationally, indeed that’s the reason why I chose it. Do check out their website, they have a great variety of craft supplies on offer, you may like to change your mind.

I hope you get over your cold soon. Perhaps you should try some hot lemon and honey to ease the symptoms.

BOO to having a cold hope it clears real soon. There may not be much going on but your desk is so nice and neat and I love how you have labelled everything for us nosey readers 😀 I’ve never tried oil pastels. Might have to put those on my list of things to buy. Thanks for visiting my blog today – Anita WOYWW #49

Hello, Marit, happiest of Wednesdays (and WOYWWs) to you today. Thanks for your visit to my blog, now I’m popping over to Holland to see you. 🙂 I love to see your desk all labeled. Your oil pastel piece is really nice — I like the bits that show through the pastel (like the diamond pattern) and the writing that seems like it might have been done on top of the pastel layer. I’ll have to check out the video you linked. I have pastels, but never use them. ~ Laura #63

Good morning, Marit. I hope my post finds you feeling much better. Sleep if you can. You have inspired me to complete my centerpiece just so you can see it next week. 😉

I love your piece. I have oil pastels but haven’t worked with them much. Thanks for the video link.
