Just after I finished labeling the photo of my workdesk from today, I got an email from my dear friend and former neighbour Miriam… oh how I miss her! We lived next to each other for over 10 years and became best friends. I miss the afternoons drinking coffee, talking, talking, talking… and exchanging creative ideas, sharing all kind of techniques and inspire each other…
Miriam emailed me that she cleaned her house and re-arranged her workspaces – and she send a photo of her ‘little craft room’ that she now uses to work on small projects (she paints big canvasses in the living room, see: picmir.exto.nl
Because I was just about to blog about my desk, I thought it would be fun to include the photo of her desk too. So today, for woyww, two workdesks!

Of course Miriam did not label her deskphoto when she send it to me, but she wrote about stickers that she still has to sort out so I guess what you see are stickers… Oh, and I have to ask her what she uses the flat-iron for. Some new technique she discovered or just household equipment? *lol*

Hello Marit, I’m visiting from Julia’s blog, to see what’s going on elsewhere in Craftland!
It’s fun to find Two Workdesks for the price of One. I love how you’ve labelled everything in your work area – clearly you’re a much more organised and methodical sort of person, than I am, as my desk only looks this tidy when I’ve had a thorough clear-up and organising session; as soon as I start work, the organisation vanishes!
Miriam’s desk looks intriguing. She apparently uses that room for other stuff too – isn’t that an ironing board behind her chair?
It’s fun to see what other bloggers are working on – you are making Art Journals (I have plans for some of these, but time is a bit of a problem, so I stick to making the books for everyone else to fill!). Miriam… stickers and a map of the World – interesting; I wonder what she will make!

Two great desks, there Marit. How sad that your friend moved. There’s nothing nicer than popping next door for coffee is there. I hope you’ve still got someone to do that with nearby.

I share that feeling of missing a friend who moved away. It’s so difficult to get used to the end of spontaneous visits, coffee, chatting. Thankfully crafting helps with those transitions.
