Time flies! Suddenly, it is What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday again and I have not visit nearly as much artist’s desk blogs last week as I planned to…the link list is always very long and although I try to hop over to take a peek at a lot of the other desk photos, I don’t manage to visit you all every week. Sorry guys. But… today is yet another week and I will do my best. I have a dentist appointment this afternoon but since the dentist’ office is only a few doors away from me (he’s almost my neighbor) and it is just a routine check, I might manage to do some blog hopping when I get back.
Anyway, here is a photo of my desk and what’s on it this morning.
Yep, binding small books that were lying half-finished in my atelier forever. I hired a stand at a Spring fair next month so it is time to bind some more books and maybe even create some more tiny art journals (that folded strip of paper is lying on my desk for months also – time to do something with it!) to supplement my stock.
The unfinished art journal page to the left is for the Documented Life Project challenge #9 “five layers’… I’m a few weeks behind on the project but I hope to get this page done before the end of the week.
So, that was all about the – as you call it – UFO’s (“UnFinished Objects”) How about a finished page then? Here’s the latest spread in my Chronicles art journal. Week 10 was the week I went to the Craft Show with my friend (remember the photos from last week?) and because I wanted to add as many ‘new buys’ to the page as I possibly could, I added an extra plastic pocket and an extra half-page (folded) to my journal. That way, I created more space to stamp with the new stamps, spray through the new bought stencils, show the new bought paper, write about the show, make a list of my new bought stuff and add photos.
The Chronicles of Marit 2015 – Week 10
This day is well on it’s way already – I better get started on brushing my teeth 😉 before I hit the dentist’ chair. Thanks for visiting my blog today – I hope to stop by yours later. In the meantime, have a great day!
What’s On Your Work desk? Wednesday is hosted by Julia from the UK. Artists from all over the world post a photo of their desk on their blog and leave a link at Julia’s blog. More info about this event can be found here.
I love your journals and the way you write the journaling. Very original.
Have a great week,
Lisca#33
PS I’m thinking of Shoshi today who’s operation has been postponed yet again! I can’t imagine how she must be feeling.
Succes bij de tandarts! Ik zie dat je een bestekbakje gebruikt voor je pennen, wat slim! (En als PSje: er is een kaart naar je onderweg, hehe, eindelijk!)
It is a good thing I can only view your desk via PC screen, or I would have handled every object on your desk!! Especially all your hand made books.
Thanks for the earlier visit, always earlier when your half a world away…..LOL But your visits and comments mean a lot to me.

I LOVE your books and pages. They are so unique and interesting, plus the colors are amazing. Happy WOYWW!
PS – Thanks for your visit and encouraging words.
Oh, I hope the dentist is going well! Thank you so much for your comment today–I just enjoyed it so much! I’m loving all the book binding, and excited for your craft fair. Do the little art journals sell well? Yours are so gorgeous. And I love how your pages are filled with color and journaling on top of that. So inspiring to me…I may have to pin that right now! I’m so desperate to find a craft fair to participate in this spring. Or, I may have to start one because I actually have a space where it could happen. So fun. Hugs! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #53
Your desk is full, but it’s so neat and clean!
Thanks for visiting my blog earlier and for the kind comments.
Happy Woyww,

Oh my, so much going on in one place. You are an inspiration for sure.
Thanks for sharing, Pat #63
Lovely hand made books, Marit. Well done.
Thanks for visiting and for your comments. Got a clever hubby who knows just what I like – I’m thrilled with the stamps he chose.
Take care. God bless.

Oooh what a busy desk, Marit, and I love all the annotations! Great fun. I used to do a bit of that! I haven’t even done a desk photo for ages but I am hoping that once I am recovering from my operation, my creative brain will click back into operation and I’ll be back in my ARThaven again. Thank you for your kind words and the nice big hug from Holland – all hugs gratefully received! We are hoping to receive a date by the end of the week and ideally I’d like to be in next week but we shall have to see what happens. I am feeling a lot better about the postponement now. One day it will all happen – I hope!!
Happy WOYWW,

Very interested in seeing your tiny hand bound journals. Something I have thought about trying. Your desk it so organized! Love looking at it and seeing everything so neatly laid out. Truly enjoyed having a peak at your Chronicles journal. Diane #43
Lots on the desk today but it still looks very organised, well done.
Hope you have a great week and happy woyww, Angela x 28
Beautiful journal pages! I look forward to hearing all about your spring craft fair adventures! I will do my second craft fair in November, and I will decide then if it will be something that I will do again or not.
Happy WOYWW!
Hey Marit, good to see you over at my blog, thanks for the visit and all the lovely comments. I am so glad that you adore Winston too, he really is adorable. I didn’t realise about my specs v glasses thing – amazing how that happens! I love all the beautiful books on your desk, some finished, some in parts, love that about your beautiful desk. Cx #60
Hope the visit to the dentist went according to plan. the desk looks full of fun! Helen 11
I love your busy desk and your chronicles. You have a good hand with colours! I hope your dentist visit was not stressy – I hate dentist visits.
Thank you for your earlier visit! Yes you are right, garden is wonderful, esp. in spring. As we live at the direct border to the woods it is soothing for my soul just to sit outside and watch the birds and squirrels and doing nothing for half an hour.
Hugs

You’ve got so many things going on on your desk, but you still have it looking so tidy! I wish I could manage that. And your pages, I think it all works so well together.
Hi Marit, I’m late with WOYWW, but I came to see what was going on here – waving “Hi” from England!
I love your desk photos – especially how you label everything so nicely for us! And I saw the concertina of paper and thought “that was there last month”… But, hey, we’re all busy and you’ve made lots of other things.
I like the little books you’ve been binding – the covers are great. Are the pages painted too, or are they blank, for the new owner to decorate? I hope your sales go well. Will you take a photo of your stall, and show it to us?
Have a good week. Maybe I will find time to post next Wednesday – I have several projects on my desk (and it’s nowhere near as tidy as yours!!)
