Good morning lovelies, good morning desk hoppers! Yep, it’s What’s On Your Work desk Wednesday, time for another round of desk hopping. I wasn’t around last week as I knew up front that I would not be able to visit the other artists’ desks, but I have my hopes up for this week. I am determined to squeeze in some time to do my round of desks or at least visit the ones that comment here on this post.
So… artists’ desks… let’s see what is on mine, shall we?
It’s a bit of a strange photo isn’t it? All there is to see is old newspaper… I was stenciling and spraying ink when the bottle of yellow ink turned on empty. I thought there was enough to create what I planned but the last bit of ink wouldn’t come out. You know those spray ink bottles with tubes that suck up the ink? Those tubes are never long enough to get to the bottom of the bottle… so I left my desk to hop on my bike, rode into the city and bought me a new bottle. When I returned (yesterday in the afternoon) I didn’t have the energy to go back to my desk, so it still looks the way I left it.
And where is the other stuff that normally shows on the desk, you ask? Brushes, sharpies, pens… that kind of things? Well… I shove it all aside to make room for my project. Look to the left and see the mess…
I’m all into using yellow lately. Maybe because the last couple of days the sun was shining brightly and temperatures in the Netherlands rose to Spring warmth (like 20 degrees Celsius.) The next art journal page in my Chronicles is for week 14 – the weather wasn’t that good back then but I made this page last weekend and I was in the mood for bright and happy colors.
The Chronicles of Marit 2015 – Week 14
Thanks for visiting my blog today, I really appreciate it and I hope your day is as bright and yellow as this page!
P.S. I will start teaching art journal workshops again this year. The workshops that I offer can be found on the workshop web page and I hope to add new workshops, both live and on line, later this year. Are you interested in taking (one of) my workshops? You can now fill out a form to specify which workshop(s) you prefer. When there is enough interest (a minimum of 8 persons per workshop) I will set a starting date. Visit this page for more workshop information.
Hi Marit, a bright cheery productive post…great workspace. Cheers and enjoy your week RobynO#22
I must improve my labelling, yours is fantastic. Hoping you have a great crafty week. Happy woyww, Angela x 36 x
Love your workspace. The labeling inspires smiles!
And nice journal spread for the week!
I love your ‘yellow pages’. I always like the way you write stuff on your pages, and you should see me with my head upside down in front of the computer trying to read it! lol.
The colorful image looks like Frida Kahlo but I don’t know this particular painting though. I like it.
Have a great week,

Ha! Ik ben niet de enige die pianomuziek in huis heeft om te verknippen. Benieuwd wat je allemaal hebt zitten sprayen.
WOW the yellow background is spectacular. I will have to give it a go myself.
Thanks for sharing and happy WOYWW or Thursday

great looking workspace! I hate it when I am working on something and run out of a product. If I have to go to the shops then it takes a day to get back into it. Love the finished journal pages. Love the bright colors, the photos, and the handwriting is awesome. THanks for sharing. VIckie #8
