Things are finally slowing down this week… the Spring Fair I was preparing for in the past week is done and was a success (see this post for a photo-impression) and the commission I am working on is half-way, I will need a week or two to finish it but over-viewing my to-do list and deadlines I have to meet, it looks like I have a little more room to breath.
So yesterday afternoon I put two of my own projects on my desk that I want to work on today: the Chronicles art journal and the Documented Life Project. Also, the sewing machine I used yesterday was still there this morning (I put it away now.) Here’s my desk how it looked when I got out of bed.
The Documented Life page you see on the desk is finished (I showed it in this post.) The blank page is the one I will work on today. The desk looks a bit empty, but I have a nice photo of something fun that was on my table a few weeks ago:
Yep, stamps! I carved ‘week-stamps’ to use in my Chronicles journal, and they turned out wonderful! One night, I sat on our big dining table carving the last ones, when my beloved pointed out how nice the stamps looked in lamp-light, a play of light and shadows, so I got my camera to take a picture. Here’s another photo.
I am very pleased with this series! I carved a ‘line-stamp’ to go with the dates and used the stamps to create week 15 in my art journal. It turned out into a clear and simple page showing off the stamps.
The Chronicles of Marit 2015 – Week 15
Oops… so much I want to work on this afternoon and it’s already lunchtime… I better get to it! Have a nice day y’all!
