Good morning, good morning deskhoppers… and congratulations JULIA with this sixth year anniversary. MyOhMy… 6 years of woyww-posts, 6 years of artists making photos of their desk and posting them to their blogs, 6 years of link-lists on Julia’s blog… that’s quite a long time! I joined this event in February 2013 and played along ever since (except for the time when I had a blog-holliday…) posting a photo of my desk every Wednesday. Today is not much different because I have a photo of my desk for you, as always.
BUT… because it is the 6th anniversary, there’s something more. After all, we cannot let this day pass by without a bit of celebration, can we?! That is why WOYWW is having an ATC-swap to celebrate… I joined in and made ATCs to swap with some fellow woyww-deskers.
When I was in my ‘constructivism-period’ (some weeks ago) I designed the next ATC – I made it as an ‘extra’ because I think that an ATC should be hand-made, and not a print. BUT… the persons I swap the ATCs with, gets this one too as a bonus.
Here’s the ATC I made for the swap. (In our household we call the Wednesday posts the ‘Wowee-posts’ and I thought it would be fun to make an ATC with that.)
I made 5 of every card… one for myself, one for the next person in the link list that I will swap with (according to the ‘swap rules’) so that leaves 3 ATCs to swap with ONE OF YOU.
Who will it be then?
Well, just comment on this post telling me why you would like to receive this ATC in particular – what’s the reason I should swap this card with YOU? I will choose three persons from the comment section on Friday, and send an email to exchange addresses.
And now I’m off to look at as much desks as I can possibly visit today…

Your ATC is great- reminds me of my son when he was a bit younger- he has ADHD and this was an expression i saw alot ha ha!

Hi Marit. Sending you love from Yorkshire today, although it’s turned a bit damp. Isn’t it funny how we all have names for meeting up on a Wednesday. My hubby always asks if i’ve “desked” but I like your version, that made me chuckle.

Bister (or ‘bistre’) is a pigment powder that turns into some sort of ink when you add water to it. After I first used it, I wrote a blogpost about this powder that you can find HERE

As usual, a super-tidy amazingly organised desk. I really must start saving up, so I can send you the fare to fly over here and tell me how to organise my own desk. I hate the mess, but it never seems to improve for very long! I guess the key is probably to have appropriate storage… perhaps I need to work on that.

LOVE the ATCs…Wowee is used by Mary Anne too..so much easier than the silly acronym that I still love because its so awkward!! It’s been crazy and Ithinkyour ATC is perfect for it, and if you have enough, I’d love to trade…although mine do not bear a comparison. Im at juliadunnit@me.com if you would let me have your new address? My first thought at your desk photo…CLEAN WATER! I don’t know if I’ve seen lots of painty water today or not, but it really struck me! And that your desk is clean….not marked or covered in protective and inky papers. Feels calm! Thanks for WOYWWing….having you back as a Desker is just FAB.
A Finnish woman has been commenting on my blog several times asking about bister (I ran into it on someutch blogs and bought from a dutch webshop…wonder if it’s known anywhere else?!) I’ve tried answering via my blog, but she doesn’t seem to read the answers… But perhaps I’ll try to get her a link to that post of yours.

Hi Sis, just wanna send you some kisses ,I’m in Virginia Beach right now, loaded some stuff for Calgary….it was nice to see the see again, miss that sometimes….but very hot here…34 degrees Celsius , it was only 9 days ago that I wend through a blizzard in Canada…. xxx

LOL! I thought I was the only one that called it WowWee. I know it isn’t the pronunciation of WOYWW, but w-OI-wee just isn’t right. Julia calls it “desks” and us “deskers” but I like to think of it as a WOW day … even if that day’s visit comes very late! 🙂

What great ATCs and I love how you take the trouble to label everything on your desk. I am usually scrambling just to get a post and photo done in time to link up. The lady who runs the class I go to each week, is now starting to gather up the unused ink mats and give them to me to mop up the gorgeous ink, especially as I also completely clean them off ready for use after.
