Woyww #431 & some random stuff

September 6, 2017 By Marit 9 Comments

Goodmorning sweeties! It’s again Wednesday and so I took a photo of my desk this morning… from another angle this time, just for fun. See that sun shining outside? It’s a beautiful Autumn day (although right now I can see dark clouds coming… some rain will surely fall.)

The art journal page in the middle is not finished yet and I plan on working on it some more today. That is, if I can think of how to move on with it… text? More painting? Faces maybe?

I’m eager to start so I keep this blogpost short… I show you just two more things

This art journal spread from a couple of weeks ago…

The Chronicles of Marit 2017 – Week 32

… and this “Navajo-blanket” that I crocheted for my son as a gift.
Next Friday he will defense his thesis (oral examination) and post-graduated (master’s degree.) We cannot visit him then but I’m sure he will get his degree so I gave him the blanket already when we visited him in his new apartement in Amsterdam last weekend.

… and now it’s back to paper and paint.
I will turn on the music (I LOVE my “Studio playlist” I created in Spotify) and go for it!
Hope you have a lovely day too.

Hi Marit, i love that blanket and the native American pattern. I hope all goes well for your son, it must be a nerve wracking time for him. I’d be tempted to leave lots of white space on that journal page, perhaps some splashes of the same colours with different sized lettering over the top on the opposite page. Love what you’ve done so far. Sarah #19

your son will certainly get his MA and I am sure will curl up in your gorgeous blanket when winter comes. I love how you design your journal. What kind of Journal do you use? Next year I do not want to make pages as I do now but then I always go back as i like working on a flat surface.
    Have a great weekend

I can’t really see the journal page, but it does look like it has a face, I learned about “white space” in the Dina Wakely Art Freedom book, you could leave the white space alone, and just add a quote. Your desk always looks so neat compared to mine, and you have such a lovely window in front of you!. .Your Chronicles journal is awesome – I love the lettering! Have a great week, thanks for sharing! Hi Marit. I love working in my journals but it’s something I don’t do very often as I can’t always think what to do so I find it better to walk away. I must say that yours looks interesting. Have a happy woyww, Angela x14x

My word Marit, you are always busy! Love the blanket, bet your son was really pleased. He’s an achiever isnt he?! I can’t possibly suggest which way to go in your journal page, but as I’m a little late, I’ve no doubt that you’re already over the block and onto another page!
