Goodmorning lovelies,
I have just a little time to write this blogpost so I keep it short and simple… here’s my desk this morning.
I bought the fashion magazines on a flee market for a bargain and the “Poesie album” is there because one of my co-workers wrote in it and I need to take a photo before I pass it on to the next person… you read all about this album HERE
Scrap layout
A couple of weeks ago I made this layout… it’s been ages since I created an ‘old fashioned’ layout, it was fun!
The Chronicles of Marit 2021 – Week 34
I made good use of the second-hand fashion magazines… love the big photos of models in it and love to cut of their heads and create my own characters!
And that’s it – I told you: short and sweet! Thanks for visiting me, have a lovely day/week and I hope to pay you a visit back soon.

“Cut off their heads!” Sounds a little macabre, but have fun doing it. Angela #11

I love the way you collage the photos out of magazines into your artwork, they blend so well – you have the knack of changing them completely! Loved the LO and the pic of your desk, always interesting to look at!

I forgot about your poesie book but I can see that I left a comment on it in 2018! Great composition on the scrapbook layout and a good idea with the magazine cut-outs. The only reason I buy fashion magazines is to cut them up! I actually feel embarrassed buying them LOL! Have a lovely week, Marit! xx zsuzsa #22

I do like your annotated desk photos, Marit. It’ a while since I did one of those. Love the journal page, but I have to say you are turning into a very dangerous lady, going around chopping people’s heads off lol!! It’s a great idea, though, using magazines for collage. It’s good to get back to basics sometimes – a simple layout can be very effective with the layering as you’ve done it. I did a basic card last week at the craft workshop and it was an interesting discipline, being restricted to a very reduced choice of materials.
Happy WOYWW,

Off with their heads! loving the way you’ve written in the glasses, great page. And I like the idea of a friendship book too, will come back to investigate that link more thoroughly.
You’ve scared me a bit, that Lo is lovely and I can’t see what’s old fashioned about it, I like it so much and didn’t think I was an especially old fashioned scrapbooker! Mind you, no real surprise, given my procrastination and age!!!

Your desk in soooo organised…even those little arrows are tidy…I might try this next week, just to see if my desk looks as busy, and still tidy as your does! We’re having a garden/garage sale next week, The whole village is…well about 80 of us, so I’ll be puttng some old, that look new, mags out just to see who picks them up! I did start cutting some of them up when planning something but not for a journal page, I have no idea where I put it! You’ve done great layering! Keep on Crafting! Happy WOYWW ((Lyn)) #24

Great desk shot Marit! I have so many of those magazines, I feel guilty throwing them out, but my DD keeps giving them to me! they are fun to create with. Your journal is awesome as usual, I know if I saw it in person I would be amazed and want to curl up with it for hours! Have a great week, Lindart #29

Love that layout! Like you, it’s been ages since I made a proper layout. Maybe one day (grandkids? Fingers crossed LOL!) but not this day. Also loving the collage – I have a renewed love of that recently too. Very much on the same wavelength 🙂
Happy WOYWW!

Thank you for the visit. You have made a lot of journals . All the spines look different. Do you make your cover first or last and where do you get all your ideas for spine from? I used 4 layers of card to make the covers and added the “hinges” separately, but I think I will do it differently next time. X Angela #11

The layout was really nice even if you did not create such in a long time.
What an original idea with the fashion magazine.
Cool!

Thank you for your return visit, Marit – glad you enjoyed my recycled disc project! I must make some more… Interesting what you said about the older clear stamps. Perhaps they make them from different material these days. Thank you also for your good wishes for my radiotherapy. I’ve now had the first two sessions and so far no ill effects. I’ve got the weekend off, and then the final three Monday to Wednesday. It’s rather uncomfortable on that hard metal table for 20 minutes but it is only 20 minutes so I can put up with it!
I hope you are having a lovely weekend.
