woyww #642 (and more)

September 22, 2021 By Marit 13 Comments

Hi there deskers and all other visitors, glad to see you on this Wednesday morning. The day that all kinds of artists and crafters show their desks and what’s on it. There’s a whole bunch of desks/blogs to visit – and you can also join in the fun: visit the deskers and/or post a photo of your own desk if you like. This weekly event is called “What’s On Your Work desk Wednesday” and it is found and hosted by lovely Julia. Hop on over to her place to find out about it.

WOYWW #642

Here’s what WAS on my desk last weekend…

I participated in a ‘inspiration-swap’ – I had to send someone an envelope with all kinds of images, paper and stuff, and I received an envelope from another participant – I found all kinds of things in my envelope (see photo) that I can use on my art journal pages. I especially like the coloured threads…

Here’s my desk how it looked yesterday evening and you can see that I used one of the images that was in the envelope on the spread already.

The spread on my desk isn’t finished yet, but this one is…

The chronicles from Marit – week 35

And last but not least: ‘mail art’ I send to a co-worker/friend last week (front and back)

That’s all for now… I’m off to work now and afterwards there’s a big barbeque that is organized by our director (Zeeuws Archief; it’s an annual event but last year was skipped because of Corona) so I’ll be home late. I hope to visit you later this week.

I am just always so impressed with how you do your journal pages but i still cannot find the style that feels right for me which is why I still have half empty books and magazines just waiting. I really must give it more thought. Have a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x14x

What a lovely idea, Marit, to swap packages of inspirational materials! Your work is always so rich, colourful and interesting and I am sure you will have no problem incorporating all those goodies into future pages. Lovely pages again this week, too.

Oh nice Marit, I hope the BBQ was fun and lovely, nice way to meet up with colleagues when usually you’re too busy to socialise. I love the swap envelope contents, I can see that all of it is stash that you can use. Love that pale green blue you’ve used on this weeks journal page, it’s so calming!

Thank you for your return visit, Marit, and i’m glad you enjoyed my antics this week! We do have a very good system here with a “multi-disciplinary team” for cancer and there’s always someone to speak to at every stage, and they communicate with each other very well too, with phone contact and weekly meetings too. I’m glad you enjoy seeing the kitties!
