(If you came here to visit the “Buried treasure” project – go to this post)
My boy is far, far away…
“He’s going to wake up in the city that never sleeps….”
Yep, that’s right.
My son is in New York.
He will travel to San Francisco.
With his dad, stepmom, little brother and sister.
In a car.
That will take seven weeks.
(SEVEN!!!!)
He’s gone for one week now.
Six more to go…
Thank God there’s e-mail!
And laptops
(GOODMORNING MY DEAR!
THANKS FOR THE PHOTOS!
MISS YA!
BIG HUG FROM MUM!)
..
I have a new dentist.
He pulled out my wisdom tooth yesterday.
When I came home, I couldn’t close my left eye anymore.
He’d been a little over-enthusiastic with the anaesthesia.
Half my face was paralyzed.
I had to close my eye with my hand every few minutes
because my eye didn’t blink on it’s own.
It scared the shit out of me!
It took over 4 hours to get the feeling in my face back.
I’m seriously thinking about changing dentists again.
(Yes, again. Long story.)
..
Hope today will be a better day.
Let us move to something nice to start with!
..
..
The new challenge at Scrapping the Music is up!
(Did you know I’m a guest designer there this month?!)
The featured song this week is “Santa Cruz” by Pearl Jam.
It has such beautiful lyrics… as a “sea girl” living far away from the beach
these words came right in!
Here’s my layout.
There’s torn pages from an old book in the background and a lot of water colour paint and gesso and spray ink and more paint and more water…
Sounds like a messy project huh?
Yes, it was messy but I had a blast playing with it in the garden.
I just kept on pouring water and adding ink and paint.
Fun, fun, fun!

Although it isn’t
me on this photo,
I looked like this
when I was a young girl.
There was
a story in
the book
called
“the little
sea maid”
and I used
that page as
a background
for the
photo transfer.
It came out just
the way I’d hoped!
I get nostalgic when I look at this layout!
It’s been too long since I walked along the beach.
Felt the sand between my toes.
Heard the waves, smelled the salty air…
It’s time to visit my homeland soon!
..
I have a few half-done layouts laying around.
I wanted to finish those yesterday, but didn’t.
With that dentist disaster and all…
Hope to finish some in the next days and show you next week.
Enjoy your weekend! (Brush your teeth! Stay away from dentists!)
Je t’embrasse.
