HAPPY (NON)BIRTHDAY MICHELLE!!!
Oh-my-oh-dear….
I really thought today was my friend’s (and co-teacher in the new workshop!)
birthday… but I learned yesterday that I had the date all wrong.
It was August 21 – Bummer!
I planned this birthday post to show you the card I made for her birthday,
and send you all over to Michelle’s blog to cheer… and now I’m too late 🙁
But HA… I know it’s her HUBBY’S birthday today, so there’s still celebration
going on in the LaPoint-Rydell house… YEAY!
So hop on over to Michelle anyway and send some extra love for Michael!
Happy birthday Michael!
And to the both of you… we may get older but we are still “wild at heart!”
..
..
Here’s the card I made for Michelle.
..
In my former post I showed you the process of how I make my art journal
pages. I finished the page from last week and here’s the result.
Week 34
I didn’t blur the text – in this case it would ruin the image and there are
no “secrets” on the page this time.
..
My friend Lena gave me this award last week.
I love those red wooden shoes with the dots!
Thanks sweetie!!!
The following text belongs
to this award:
“The world of blogging is amazing.
Through blogging I made friends
of places I never heard of before.
I experienced kindness and caring.
I hope my blog friends will pass
this award to only three caring
and kind people from anywhere
who touched your heart.”
I pass this award on to:
- Phinner. I’m glad to have found a girl like her. I’m proud I can call
her my friend and she really is a pearl among the scrapbookers.
- Jenneke. I guess she’s got this award before (like I did) but still…
Jenneke deserves an extra copy of it! She kept her mouth shut
when I had to tell her I made test articles for Creatief met Foto’s!
It was so funny: I wrote an article to go with Jenneke’s layouts
and I had a question for her. So I called her and she almost fell off
her chair when she got me on the phone! I asked her to keep it
a secret until it would be clear if my articles were good enough…
and she did!
- Kim. Kim was one of the ladies I hang out with on SIStv but I lost
contact with her when SIStv closed. I found her blog (by coincidence)
yesterday and it was nice to see old friends doing well!
So here you go Kim, this awards for you! I have your blog in my link
menu now, so I won’t “loose you” again!
..
Talking about “loosing” – the online art journal workshop
Let it Loose starts next week!

There is still room in the
group so if you haven’t taken
this course and you have
ANY interest in art journaling
at all – whether you are an
experienced journaler or never
tried it before – this is the class
to take!
For more info and registration
visit my website here.
And in this post I show some
sneaks and a short overview
off the things we will be doing.
In the meantime, Michelle and I
are working hard on the new online
workshop which starts on October 22.
More info here.

This week is going to be busy, busy, busy.
I started writing articles yesterday and I keep in mind the advice I got from
the sweet ladies on the Studio Calico forum: “focus on one piece at a time
and try not to get overwhelmed by the size of the entire month’s work.”
So now it’s off to work… hope you all have a lovely week!
Je t’embrasse.
