Hi there lovelies – another week flew by and it’s again Wednesday. Another day of ‘intelligent lockdown’ overhere in the Netherlands, which means we are allowed to go outside for a walk or shopping (with restricions, of course.) I saw on tv that a lot of people are fed up with this crisis and go outside, the streets and parks showed what I would call ‘a crowd’ nowadays. I, myself, still stay inside or on the balcony. My beloved does the grocery shopping early in the mornings, when there’s less people on the streets. We’d rather be safe than sorry.
Due to this stay-at-home policy, my art desk shows a lot of activity during the week. That’s also the case today, but I cannot show you what I am working on because it is something I create for the Dutch Dares challenge in June as a guest designer. I CAN show you the materials that I am working with though…
Olive green, ocher, salmon, dark green, light yellow and white paint… and a fine brush. You’ll see what it’s used for in June 🙂
DUTCH DARES
The Dutch Dares May challenge was announced on Facebook today, the theme is “Puberty” and here’s my go
I found three old photo’s of my teenage room at the bottom of my photo-box… one of the photo’s was even cut-out (shame on me!) but I still used it – these are the only photos I got that show how my room looked like back in the days. It may not be a spectacular lay out but I’m happy to have one with photos of my teenage room in my album now.
ART JOURNALING
I have plenty of time to keep up with my Chronicles art journal…
The Chronicles of Marit 2020 – Week 17
In week 17, my parents, my beloved & I met for ‘coffee at a distance’ in a nearby park. They brought their own cups, I brougt coffee in a thermos bottle and as you can see on the photo, we kept our distance.
Big art journal ‘Grandes Chaleurs”
It’s been a while since I created a spread in this ‘big’ journal (spread: 47,5 x 29,7 cm – 187 x 117 inch)
I hope you are well and healthy, thanks for visiting today. I really am glad to have so many online-friends that stick together in these weird times. Hang in there dear ones, this time will pass eventually…

Hi Marit. Ooo… now those bits and pieces look rather intriguing!! Looking forward to seeing all revealed next month!! Well done on the teenage room page. I remember my parents nearly passing out when I said I had chosen the paper for my room… black and gold roses on a white paper. I thought it was gorgeous – and it certainly lasted well, and really didn’t make the room appear dark – their fear when I chose it. Oh, teenage years… how long ago was that!
Enjoy keeping up with your journals. I admit to rather liking this special time. I’m refusing to listen to all the negativity going around, and am just determined to enjoy each day. No problem with being on my own here.
Take care of yourselves. Stay safe. God bless.

Great scrapbook page Marit. I may have some photos of my room at Uni but I think that’s as far back as photos of my bedroom go. Cool journal pages too. I look forward to seeing what you are working on once you can reveal it. I am enjoying joining in with the daily songs challenge on your FB page too. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #5

Thank goodness for our crafting, it’s kept me sane to be honest! And not feeling guilty sitting down and taking time out to do it either – what was so important before that stopped me doing that? Anyway I love your teenage pics, think my bedroom was much the same!!
Keep safe and take care,
Hugs LLJ 12 xx

I love your journals and that photo of meeting your parents in the park is so special. My mum lives 200 miles away from me so i can’t do that, although she is doing it with her neighbours which is nice. Happy WOYWW! Stay safe and take care, with love and God Bless, Caro xxx (#17)

Hello Marit! Fancy finding those old photos – I bet I don’t have anything like that hanging around! Some lovely pages on your desk. Great to see your socially distant visit with the family – I have never not seen my mum for this long, even when travelling, it is very odd, I think I shall have to pop and see her soon – I can sit in her garden and shout!! I am hoping they don’t relax too much here in the UK yet, it feels far too soon. Happy WOYWW, Stay safe, stay well, Cindy #18

Always love your journal pages they are so interesting. The photo of you all meeting in the park is lovely, sadly we have to go to my parents as it’s the only way we can get the things they need to them. Carers visit but they can’t do their shopping so we have to as even if we could get it delivered my mum can’t get it into the house as she is so unsteady on her feet now. The government were supposed to be doing all sorts to help vunerable people but it hasn’t happened here. Wishing you a rather late but happy woyww and a lovely crafty week, Angela x21x

Now that is amazing to be able to find a photo of your teenage bedroom and I am impressed it is so tidy. Lovely to hear you have been able to have an outdoor visit with your parents and share a cuppa. It truly is the little things that we take for granted that matter so much. To be outside with a loved one is all we really need to bring a smile to our faces. Love the art journaling. Stay safe and keep crafting.
