Goodmorning lovely ones! It’s another Wednesday and I have no tasks or obligations to fulfill today – which means I can do whatever I want and play in my atelier all day, yay! (Doesn’t it sound like a poem?

Last week, Julia (our lovely woyww-hostess) posted an idea she had to celebrate WOYWW’s eleventh anniversary on Wednesday May 20th, number 572. We usually swap ATCs to celebrate but as she says: “there’s a lot of pressure on every service at the moment (…) and our usual ATC swap would just add to the burden that the Post Office is experiencing. (…) So we won’t do that. I think we should really make something of this locked down Anniversary and take the opportunity to do something lovely for our enjoyment. So how about this: drag out a UFO (any craft, any age) or a kit, or ‘thing’ that you’ve promised to do ‘at some point’ and actually do it. Take the challenge and show us on WOYWW 572.”
I usually am quite disciplined, and finish the projects that I start, so I thought I had to miss out on this celebration challenge but something I saw on the internet made me realize I had in fact a long-forgotten UFO (UnFinished Object) laying on the shelf…
I once saw a little accordion booklet on the blog of my fellow desker Zsuzsa (Inky Dinky Doodle) she made from old craft-sheets (I think) and corrugated packaging board… it must have been over a year ago (is that right Zsuzsa?) I started making such a booklet but I didn’t come far… so this is the UFO I will work on this week and hopefully show the results next week.
Due to being a guest designer at “Dutch Dares” – a Dutch scrapbooking challenge group – I create more layouts than I have in a long time and I spend quite some time going throught old photos lately. When Sharon posted the new challenge at Challenge YOUrself I had just found the perfect photo, so I decided to give it a go:
The theme for this month’s challenge is all about MOM! You can include a photo of a grandmother, mom, daughter, child, etc. . . . interpret the theme any way you like. Just make sure that you include a photo with YOU in the frame!
Being MUM
My mum, me and my son.
(detail)
And guess what? That little lad on the layout has grown big, and he (and his girl) send me this for Mother’s day last weekend…
And that’s it for today lovelies, I’m going to take out my inks/paints/papers and see if I can come up with an idea (theme?) to finish that accordion booklet. Have a lovely day y’all, stay safe!

Well done on finding something to finish for next week! That little accordion book looks interesting already and I’m sure you’ll fill it with Marit Magic. I have no idea what to do as I don’t think I’ve got any UFOs – I think I’ll have to pick something that I enjoy doing but seem to have no time for, like painting or drawing.
Lovely flowers! Isn’t it great when our boys grow up to be thoughtful, caring young men?!

Hi Marit. Well done for finding a UFO to do for next week. That sounds exciting. I did some accordion books ages ago when I studied for my City and Guilds… goodness, that’s 20 years ago! I hadn’t realised it was so long. A great scrapbook page of the three generations. Well done.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

Hi Marit, thats a gorgeous layout, fabulous design & picture. Love the flowers, I adore lillies. No problem finding UFO’s here, lol. The trouble is when I get stuff out to create, I think’ I might as well do a handful while I’ve got the stuff out’, so end up getting bored before I get to the end of them. Have a lovely week, Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz#10 X

Excited to see what your accordion booklet becomes! I have several UFO projects in various stages cases I am definitely NOT that disciplined, so we’ll have to see if I can finish one by next week!

It did occur to me Marit, that the challenge may not apply to everyone. I don’t know which pleases me more, to know that you actually have a UFO or that you’re going to work on it. Whilst I tackle mine I’m thinking of everyone doing theirs, it’s a warm companionship! Love your scrapbook page, what a sweet photo. I have one of me, my mum and my daughter on my desk waiting to be made into a page, what a coincidence!

Gorgeous flowers and I love the scrapbook page. My UFO is a long standing WIP as there is no chance I will finish it for next week, but I will move it onwards! Happy belated WOYWW. Take care and stay safe, with love & God Bless, Caro xxx(#6)
