Hi there, goodmorning! This blogpost is scheduled – I type this on Sunday – ’cause after a long day of work I don’t feel like crawling behind the computer in the evening, and on Wednesday morning I have to start early again. My job is three days a week and Wednesday is a working day for me, but when I come home later today, the working week will be over and my ‘weekend’ will start.
So, on to the stuff that was on my desk last weekend. It had been ages, but I played with my gelli plates! Yes, plural, because besides my old plate I bought another one. A big gelli plate (12″x 14″ – 30,48 x 35,56 cm) with which I played on Sunday. I only thought of taking a picture of my desk AFTER I cleaned my desk though… you always say you are jealous off my neat desk but being neat is also a handicap sometimes. I’d have loved to show you the mess I am capable of making! The only thing that’s left of my ‘gelliplate-session’ are the prints that lay on the floor to dry. Well, that’s my ‘desk’ to show for today then…
I hope to use these prints in my Chronicles art journal because that’s why I bought this big gelli plate in the first place. At the beginning of this year I bound me another Chronicles journal and I decided to go for a big size. My 2022 journal is 7.87″ x 12.8″ (20 x 32,5 cm) and my old gelli plate is a lot smaller, which means I couldn’t use my prints as a background. I still need two prints now to fill a spread, but that’s always better than four! I think I’ll pick the one second from left on the top with the one beneath that (the ‘yellowish/brownish) to make my next spread – that combination might work don’t you think? That’ll be a spread highlighting week 22 then, which means I have some spreads from the weeks before that to show.
Chronicles 2022 – Week 18
Chronicles 2022 – Week 19
Chronicles 2022 – Week 20
Chronicles 2022 – Week 21
I’ll be working on that new spread for week 22 later. I hope YOU have time to plan some creative time too this week. I’ll be around to see what you are up to, so if you leave me a comment I’ll visit you back. See you!

I love the gelli prints, I am sure they will be very useful in your Chronicles. I like the idea of a longer weekend and a shorter working week, I might have to explore that idea!! Happy WOYWW Helen #1

Love your chronicles – especially the last two pages. They interest me a lot for some reason although `i did enjoy seeing them all.
Yes, i think your chosen pieces are the two to go with at the beginning – good luck with the gel plates.

You know me – every time I say the same thing! So lovely to see your chronicles, I always just enjoy the heck out of them. And I SO need to drag out my gel plates (not the big one, but a few small and shaped ones here) for a proper, in depth play. It’s been AGES and even typing this I had an interesting idea I want to try!
Gotta love WOYWW, am I right?
😀
Happy desk hop day!

Hi Marit, I am loving your journal pages – they are fabulous and intriguing as always. The gelli prints are great and I had to smile at you sizing up as I’ve just sized down to a tiny circular one – I find my 6 x 6 too big sometimes!! I love your prints and I think the two you have chosen would look great together – I do love the orange squiggle on the top left one – very eye catching.
Hope you have a great week,
Diana xx #14

Never got me a gelli-plate in fact never seen one in action let alone in real life! Your prints are great. I too am a tidtier upper so my desk is the same each week. Think my son follows in that way as his nursery said he hated painting but at home with a bowl of water at the ready for when he finished he’d have paint everywhere! Love your week 18 think that’s how my brain works, everything in there bursting to get out!
Thanks for the visit BJ#21
