Goodmorning on this “Black Friday”, which does not look black to me… blue skies and a little sunshine light up my morning and I don’t plan to go into town to buy things but stay in my atelier and create a storm instead!
But first, here’s my weekly haiku and I also have a happy, little booklet to show.
Friday haiku
Samen op de dijk. Naast elkaar aan het water. Samen oud worden. |
Peaceful together. Side by side at the seafront. Gently getting old. |
The photo was taken by my friend Lena Schreijenberg
I submit this haiku to Recuerda Mi Corazon where our lovely hostess Rebecca brings us all together to share a haiku on Friday: Haiku my Heart.
Duo (little leporello booklet)
Since September, I have a (temporarily) part-time job. I started this job together with another lady: Christa – (we heard later that they couldn’t choose between us after our job-interviews, so they hired us both.) Christa and I get along right from the first day. She’s a lovely, enthousiastic co-worker. We hardly knew each other when I celebrated my birthday in October, and still she bought me a nice present – and last month she brought me a bunch of beads to use in my bookbinding.
I thought it was about time I gave her something in return, so I made this little booklet for her.
I had a lot of fun combining animal-heads with human bodies…
In our job at the Zeeuws Archief (Zeeland Archives) we see old (16th, 17th) documents all the time so I found a Latin quote very fitting to put in the booklet.
It says “if two people perform the same thing, it is not the same thing.”
Top 2000 creative blog party
The end of the year, and my Top 2000 blog party, is getting nearer and nearer… the fun starts this Sunday already, as that is the day the voting for this year’s list starts. To me, that is the kick of of this fun time of the year. I you plan on joining the party in the last week of December, I suggest you visit my blog on Sunday afternoon to read all about voting for songs. (And if you have no idea what I am talking about, I suggest you click the link to find out all about it!)
Thank you for visiting my blog today. I wish you a beautiful (black?) Friday in whatever color you like!
