Ready for Spring!

February 17, 2012 By Marit 36 Comments

I wish I could say ‘Spring is in the air’, but it isn’t.
Yes, temperatures are above zero and yes, our drain pipe is free of ice –
but the days are grey and wet.

HOWEVER…

Spring is in my head
and ON my head… *teehee*
I have a new haircut!

I’m all ready for Spring, don’t you think?
So I looked up a colourful ‘Spring photo’ and wrote a haiku about it.

..

Kleurige tulpen

kondigen de lente aan

ik ben er klaar voor!

Colorful tulips

I’ve never been so ready

for the new season

Written for ‘Haiku My Heart Friday’.
For more haiku and photos, visit Rebecca at Recuaerda mi Corazon.

Next is a page that lay waiting for quite some time…
I showed the basic page before in this post and last week
I finally found the quote to put on and finished it.

Size: 29,7 x 21 cm - 16.9 x 8.3 inch.

I love the way the image transfer turned out!
Here’s a detail photo

Some of you may have seen the preview of FEATURING magazine already,
as I gave you the link last Tuesday, but for all my haiku friends who visit
me on Friday:

YOU GOTTA SEE THIS!!!

This is a preview of how my new magazine will look like.
Yes – it’s going to be a printed magazine and YES,
there will be poetry and photos in it too!

Although today is another rainy day, I have colours in my head and
I am planning to put some of those colours on paper this weekend.

Hooray brushes, hooray paint… here I come!

I go back and forth on the weather thing. I love the gray wet rainy, but maybe I’d feel differently if there was a lot of cold. I am a California girl after all…

I love your bob! its so clean! I keep thinking about cutting my hair again. I like to hide behind it tho’…

that’s a great quote! yes. sometimes there are no perfect words. I gotta try that transfer biz. I gotta do ‘something’.

happy weekend, Marit!!! I’m so glad you stopped by my blog… : .)

Your new haircut is yummy; I like it very much–and I’m a push-over for tulips. Though I was born in California, my whole family for a few generations were all from Holland/Zeeland, Michigan, where the annual tulip festival is a really big deal.
